BLEACH!!!!
I’M GONNA CUM
He probably got told he's going to start too.
Is this guy in football shape?
The Arizona Cardinalification of the Chiefs continues.
I know nothing about him but am certain that he will play at an all-pro level. I want it to be true, so I believe it.
This is good news..
$4.5m! That’s starter money this late in the year and says a lot about how bad they think they need him. https://x.com/rapsheet/status/1860099053658472844?s=46
Breartch Vreatch clearly reads this place and saw the thread count justified it.
Well done, Breartch. |

And with that, our depth issue at LT is gone. Kingsley will never play another snap for this team (at least not this year).
The rest of the league is in shambles. |

Excellent news! I'm sure DJ will take several weeks to get acclimated. Not much better out there this late in the season...he's certainly has bigger upside than Donovan Smith.

No reason to think Kingsley can't work out at G if he's not a T. He has all the tools.
Reid vocally telling Veach in a press conference that he wanted help at LT was as explicit as I’ve ever seen Andy about his dissatisfaction at a position. If we can figure out our line, look out.

Vetch has done his job to a very high caliber this off season all the way through today. Injuries are a crapshoot, so it’s just the way it goes— but now it’s time for the Jello to muther-fahkking gel.
Let’s go lock up the #1 seed and make them all hate us MOAR!!! |

Hardly "puffing my chest out"...I dont care that much. Good potential get by the Chiefs...if he pans out, likely saved them a top draft pick next year. |
$2m with incentives to $4.5 makes a lot more sense.
HOLY SHIT!!!!
Yeah, that makes it even more likely he's been signed to start. An incentive laden contract isn't worth much to Humpries unless he's actually getting the chance to earn them.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">PFF is usually good with offensive line stuff, so here’s some grade comparisons:<br><br>72.3* - DJ Humphries<br>67.7 - Orlando Brown Jr<br>65.2 - Jawaan Taylor<br>57.3 - Wanya Morris<br>36.8 - Kingsley Suamataia</p>— HCF (@McDuffie2Heaven) <a href="https://twitter.com/McDuffie2Heaven/status/1860101685340963254?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">November 22, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Using 2022 stats since Humphries was hurt last season + the Cardinals had him playing non-LT positions Even last season tho his PFF grade was 63 (Same as Jawaan Taylor’s who hasn’t been bad this season tbh) If Humphries returns to his 2022 form, this is a worthy signing |
If all goes well this guy is probably our left tackle next year too.

Don't take it too hard. I probably shouldn't have worded it so harshly. I didn't intend it to come across that way but I certainly understand how one could interpret that. Honestly, it's probably me that was just spouting off after reading a bunch of your previous posts about all manner of topics. |

Veach and the other Chiefs executives after snatching a potential starting LT at the end of November. |
Veach may have missed on FAU and Kingsley but he is doing him damndest to get us the threepeat.
I am so happy we have an aggressive GM instead of a passive GM like Chris Ballard |
Good deal and I hope he is healthy. Pretty obvious now that the team knew the LT position is a huge problem.
nice, if Morris got injured we'd be certifiably ****ed and this guy might end up being an upgrade over Morris but we'll have to see about that
YEEEEAAAAHHH IN VEACH WE FECKING TRUST YA'LL!!..FOREVER AND EVER!!..LET'S FECKING GO!!

And your first test back, Maxx Crosby
The incentives may have been deliberately designed to be NLTBE so they could split the cap charges between 24 and 25.
This guys probably our LT next year while Kingsley gets it together. I’m not out on Kingsley as a LT all together and he’s too rare a body type to give up on this quickly.
So he tore his ACL in week 17 and then had surgery mid January. 11 months since. He should be ready
I wonder if Veach has been in touch with Humphries as he was working up to being medically cleared? Hopefully DJ Hump has been working out and will be starting soon.
Burnt Vag strikes!
This certainly seems like it will be an improvement.
nice

Clearly obvious that Breaunch Vlaeach reads this place and saw the thread count.

Verderame this morning said he didn’t hear a thing on Donovan Smith except that they were Leary about his neck injury.
Well now we know why |
Really nice get.
I mean a similar pedigreed OT who was healthy all season probably costs $18+ million. Even pro-rated and if all the incentives hit we got him for half that and he should be at full speed for the post-season. Really nice resource management from Veach. |
Yeah, they'd almost had to have been in contact with at least his representation for a little bit.

And I'm not at all opposed to that if he's a strong fit. Move Wanya to OG to replace Smith and away we go. |
Oh shit. Great job Veach

I know he takes a lot of heat but I think he's established himself as a valuable reserve at the very worst and someone who can easily be a long-term starter, especially inside. If you can allocate the 'swing tackle' spot to Morris while he's also starting, then Nourzad backfills if he has to swing outside, that can ease some roster pressure as well. |

That’s the clear offseason move if Humphries is healthy and plays well. 1) Sign Humphries to play LT for the next three years. 2) Wish Trey Smith the best as he gets the bag from a bad team like the Titans. Collect comp pick. 3) Move Wanya Morris to RG to replace Trey. 4) Keep working Suamataia at T. See if he’s ready to replace Taylor at RT in 26. |

Ride out the last year of his deal and replace him in 26? Possibly with Suamataia. Possibly with someone not yet on the roster. |

Morris will easily be better at that than Nourzad next year. Bringing back Trey Smith just has to be a complete non-starter at this point. He has these streaks every year and he's just not a great pass protector. This isn't the right team for him. |

This is kinda as close to a “panic” move as you’ll find. And it’s not really “panic” per se but just understanding that LT is a real problem and we need to set a real floor at that position.
So happy they’re willing to recognize and aggressively (4.5mm!) address a problem like this midstream. Regardless of how it works out. |
