This is the one they finally win by 14+

I keep saying "this is the game they'll finally put the boot to the throat", but it never happens. I figured for sure that was going to happen against the Panthers after a loss.

Truth is, the offense did their part reasonably well - even with the sacks and penalties. With the current defensive level of play though, blowouts are going to be much harder to come by.

But, you know, why not go for this prediction one more week?

Raiders superbowl is getting the #1 pick and having our choice if QBs in a down year for QBs.

With my luck, we'll take Sanders.

RedRaider56 11-25-2024 09:03 AM

My concern is Maxx Crosby having a field day against this OL. They gave up 5 sacks yesterday to a team that had something like 15 for the year coming into the game.

Yeah they are going to have to have much better play calling against the Raiders, they need to use the team speed they have at WR and Mahomes needs to get rid of it fast on slants and quick outs. One missed tackle on a slant and WR's often take it to the house. Nagy sucks. Pat needs to stop the crap where he holds the ball waiting for the TE's to get open, he needs to be targeting short range WR routes.

Yep, my thoughts exactly! I never could figure out while there isnt one quick slant on about every play that gives Mahomes the option to get it out quicker. Worthy and Hardman have the speed to run the quick slants and be open(of course they could get killed when they're tackled). But seems Mahomes has the time for quick slants of some type, he always seems to be taking deeper drops and waiting for the longer routes to come open, then the rush gets to him.

Exactly this, Pat has to look after himself this week. As always, Raiders have sweet f all to play for this time of year, this game is just an opportunity to wreck our year by hurting someone.

OL needs to be up for it and I hope we use Hardmans and Worthy’s speed on the quick plays

Watson is fast too, Hollywood would really make this dangerous

This would be a great game to get that elusive blowout margin of victory.

Just to get guys like Mahomes, Kelce, Chris Jones, etc. out of the game.

I expect the line to look a little better than yesterday but there is just no way around it, its still going to be ugly at times with Crosby... unless we just magically get all the bounces, its gonna be another tough divisional dogfight

Red Dawg 11-25-2024 04:39 PM

#Raiders QB Aidan O'Connell will practice tomorrow, which will mark his first time doing so since suffering a broken thumb in Week 7. He could potentially be cleared to play against the Chiefs on Friday🔗⤵️

Gary Cooper 11-25-2024 05:57 PM

It's strange so many posters are bringing up the Christmas game.

We played the Raiders since then. Like a month ago. Also, Crosby wasn't a big factor in that game. I expect an easier game than against Carolina (that's not saying much maybe) something closer to a double digit victory.

Shitty OC and rough QB last month. The Raiders will have an new OC and QB this time around.

Not really a positive but it'll be different. You know that Defense is hyped playing the Chiefs also. With that said I don't care if they lose.

The thing is, it's divisional. Which means anything can happen. I think our defense is gonna have a bounce back game, and the offense is improving weekly. It's at home. Edge to the Chiefs obviously, but it's the ****ing Raiders and it's divisional and they have nothing to play for except to hurt the Chiefs.

We should beat them pretty solidly, but it IS the 2024 Chiefs. We just don't really do that very often.

pugsnotdrugs19 11-26-2024 12:11 PM

We'd love a dominant win of course but really all that matters is they win and not suffer major injuries. That's it.

This is the last game the Raiders care about this year. It won't be a surprise if they show up to play.

RunKC 11-26-2024 12:24 PM

Nah this game was circled after last year. They also beat the Raiders handily last time. They were up by 2 TD’s with 3 mins left. It was over.

I think they’re really pissed off after what they did in Carolina. Not a “get right” game guy but I think this is an instance where that applies.

They’re gonna get back Pacheco and Omenihu too. That’s certainly gonna help

We did fine against the Raiders last month. I don't remember if it was Kingsley or Morris playing LT. They're unlikely to move Thuney to LT unless there's an injury.

He got dinged up recently but came back in the game. He may still be hurt and you can give him some benefit of the doubt.

However, at times he and Kingsley both look like they're playing with torn ACLs.

I was saying this on another thread — if we had beat the Bills we could have locked up the #1 seed after game 14. Can you imagine a 28-day bye? Personally, I get the risks but prefer to have the players playing especially with so many coming back from long layoffs. Everything happens for a reason and just as in seasons past we may be looking at the Bills loss as a blessing that made us better.

If they beat Buffalo, there would be lots of pressure on Andy to play the starters against Pittsburgh, provided they were still undefeated heading into that game.

I would have preferred the starters rested but the media would be furious at resting starters on a 14-0 team. Too bad we won't find out how the Chiefs would have handled that.

I doubt we'll have the top seed locked up by that game. Buffalo would have to lose several games by Christmas. They're playing well and have their BYE now at a perfect time.

Love that game. Bo was the ultimate cheat code.

I think they’re really pissed off after what they did in Carolina. Not a “get right” game guy but I think this is an instance where that applies.

They’re gonna get back Pacheco and Omenihu too. That’s certainly gonna help

Many posters thought that after the Buffalo game, we would take it out on the Panthers and win easily. Same thoughts emerging again about the Raiders game.

More than likely, we will make it exciting like we always do but I’m sure this will be another win. How could it not be.

But I do worry about how we will fair with the next good team we play. I guess Pittsburgh will be a test of that. But the way we are playing and how they are playing now it’s hard to see us beating either the Lions or the Eagles. I still believe in Mahomes Magic. But that’s what it will take.

Remember when the Chiefs beat the 49rrs at Arrowhead. The excuse was, once a year the team takes their wives on a shopping trip. They spent their time shopping at The Plaza instead of preparing for the game. The moral was **** the Raiders

Any word on Pacheco or Omenihu?

Player safety my ass. Guaranteed we come out of that stretch a little banged up, just have to hope it's nothing serious.

At least they play on Saturday the week before so it's the same amount of rest as if they were playing a Thursday game.

Went to a local butcher and picked up a prime 5lb brisket flat and prime 5 lb brisket point, and after the turkeys are done smoking I'll be smoking those tomorrow to end up with sliced brisket and some burnt ends. Feel free to stop by our tailgate, there should be plenty of grub PBJ

Pacheco is one of those guys that seems very replaceable until he’s actually gone. Man I’ve missed him and the energy he brings

I’m excited to have big play potential back in the backfield as well. Without Pacheco we have, without doubt, the slowest RB room in the league and it shows.

I’m curious to see how Pacheco and Hunt’s play styles complement each other.

This is officially now our revenge game for what happened last Christmas.

The AFC East is such a joke.

Sounds great. What temp do you smoke at? Do you wrap? Foil or paper? Have a special rub or just lots of salt and pepper?

Do you mind all the questions? :)

This is fine. Last thing our pass rush needs right now is a QB who can move.

Buffalo is being gift-wrapped the AFC Least this weekend.

Miami likely losing in frigid weather conditions at Green Bay, and the Bills getting a banged up 49ers team at home in forecasted blizzard conditions.

This is my first go of it but done plenty of research. 250 is what I'm planning and I actuality bought some peach butcher paper to wrap it in. I made homemade BBQ sauce and am going to make a homemade rub as well. Wish me luck.

It's absolutely insane that this team is 10-1 and about to add Pacheco, Omenihu, Hollywood, and Humphries.

Too late. Didn’t you hear? They already awarded the Lions the Super Bowl win.

Jk. Yes, I am so excited to see the final product when the playoffs hit.. and if, by some miracle, Watson can come back and shore up the CB spot.. HNNGGGGGGG!
