Niang released from practice squad. |
Baylor Cupp. I like the guy for a developmental TE. The two last names and no first name shit is going to confuse me though

Man that Cam Thomas trade was a big waste. Glad it was just a 7th rounder.
|
Roster is at 51 and all ready to activate Pachecho and Omenihu by Friday. Whether either is active doesn’t really matter. Can be cautious if they want to be. Then Wright and Firkser will be standard elevation from the ps.

or the chargers? |
If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl this year, they're going to have to buy about 150 rings just for players.

I was looking at Cam Thomas too |
Veach is going to have to go on IR with a sprained wrist from all of the paperwork he's filing this year.
|
I'd really love to know what the actual problem was with Thomas
Was he lazy? Was he stupid? Did he just plain suck? Was he a locker room cancer? Seems kinda weird that he couldn't gain ANY traction here, he showed up with a pretty good resume https://www.chiefs.com/news/five-thi...cameron-thomas |

Rather save what little cash we have left on a possible position of need

How about we just go out and make sure we take the game without the need of a last minute FG by a new kicker??
That's a novel concept! |
Word on twitter Is former UFA Texas Tech TE Baylor Cupp will be elevated from the practice squad and is set to replace Hendershot as TE three. He's 24, 6'6, 243 pounds and has some agility and decent speed from what I can tell.
He was making some plays during camp and had a reception in all three preseason games. One being a TD against Chicago. He's certainly got good physical traits and the fact that they ate elevating him over the experienced Firkser must mean he's been getting some good practices in. |
Schrader was placed on IR. I hope that Butker is ready to return after the Chargers game. Being in kicker number 3 is going to be nerve wracking. Wright is okay. But his short kickoffs gave the Raiders a couple of good returns.

Is Butker back next week?

Really not too keen to slow play Butker. Wright can't kick it out of the end zone and our return coverage sucks

Just saw a post by Charles Goldman - Reid said Butker is "potentially" on target to return and followed it up with "we will see how he feels over the next couple of weeks".
I don't think he's gonna play right away. |

We’ll see the best kicker in NFL history in the playoffs. |
By placing Shrader on IR, they've kept him on ice incase Butker has any setbacks, have kept him away from other teams and made sure he can contribute to a comp pick when he signs for another team in the offseason as a free agent. Which will definitely happen as he looks like a good prospect.

The Chiefs have survived Butker's injury with almost no ill effect. They can give it another week. |

would he garner a comp pick? I find that hard to believe. |
Kicker is no concern right now...
Can he play LT? |
