Sure feels that way. Eagles C, G, and QB are still banged up. The team fighting the flu or something like it.

Last time KC had 5 rookies on D and nothing at WR. This time KC has weapons and the Iggles have 2 rookies in the secondary.

Mahomes will be ready for the moment. The first moment like it in all our lifetimes - the Eagles better be prepared to bring that kind of energy...

Chiefs 2
Eagles 0

Tershawn Wharton named MVP after tackling Barkley in the end zone as time expires. Replay clearly shows he was out of the end zone, but the play stands. Chaos ensues.

6 peeps now have Eagles 0-6….who are the others??? Hammock Parties, Bearcat, Twisted Chief

48 hours from now, we’ll all be seating on the edge of our seats clutching our hearts. 49 hours from now, we’ll all be partying like 21 year olds…

Probably not, but I'll be happy with that outcome.

31-24 Chiefs. LGLG.

Mahomes is pissed. Kelce is pissed. It will be a blood bath.

I'm nervous as hell man. I grew up on Husker football those guys were superheros to little Bill and never accomplished what the Chiefs are about to do. I never thought I'd see the Chiefs win a super bowl let alone become the greatest football dynasty ever and **** yeah I get a little choked up thinking about it

BossChief 02-08-2025 01:45 AM

Here’s how I see it.

McDuffie erases, or severely limits, Devonte Smith.
Watson limits AJ to his season average, at most.
A combined effort limits Goedert to a below average game.
Barkley has an uncharacteristic game where to turns it over twice.
Hurts gets beat up on some early runs with the ball once nobody is open and is off his game from the jump.

When we’re on offense, we will need to execute flawlessly to 3-peat.

I think Kareem will play a much bigger role than any other game this year. Their DTs are the defenses weakness in run defense and it plays to our strength. I think that if Hunt gets 25 carries, we win by multiple scores. Force them to bring guys up to stop the a gaps from getting raped and when they do that, Deandre Worthywood go to work in space.

This is going to be a great game. No doubt. I see the advantage we should have in the running game is a killer for Phillies defense. Especially with how amped up Kareem Hunt is sure to be for this one. I won’t be the least bit shocked if he wins the mvp.

PunkinDrublic 02-08-2025 08:51 AM

We’ve already beaten teams much more talented than the Eagles. Texans defensive line was much better than Philly for example and we beat em twice. You look at how the Rams were able to throw it all over Philly and damn near beat em at home. A healthy Chiefs team with two weeks for Andy to prepare bodes well for the Chiefs. Philly has beat up on a lot of bad teams and it made them look better than they are.

This is the first Super Bowl I go in feeling pretty confident which strangely enough makes me nervous. :bong:

Deberg_1990 02-08-2025 10:20 AM

Okay, so, I think… maybe the Chiefs have a slight chance of winning? But honestly, The Eagles have been really strong recently, so I’m not super confident. I’m just hoping it doesn’t end in a complete disaster. It could go either way, and I’m kinda nervous about it!

I think I feel the same because it feels like we’re playing with house money. They already did something that’s literally never been done - 2 things actually after the AFC championship game - No one has been to 5 of 6 Super Bowls and no one has defeated a quarterback 4 consecutive times in the playoffs. Of course, everyone wants a three peat and it’d be in the top five best sports accomplishments in sports history for sure. But even if it’s an L, great history has still been made so it’d be disappointing but not completely devastating.

That said, we’ve got the better coach, better quarterback, better DC and game wreckers on both sides of the ball. This should be a W

Guys like Hunt and Hopkins aren't playing with house money though. This will be their first SB game. The biggest game of their lives.

UChieffyBugger 02-08-2025 12:21 PM

I've felt way more nervous in previous superbowls tbh. Was calm most of the week heading into this last AFC championship game but felt edgy on Saturday and Sunday. Been very serene this week. It will change tomorrow but I just hope and pray we can get over the line nomatter how it's done. The visions i have is of Pat going crazy tomorrow and celebrating. We'll see If they hold true.

Cautiously Optimistic... Play smart, do your job and trust your teammates to do theirs. Many of the breakdowns that I've seen this year have been due to players being out of position or trying to be a hero.

Players are going to make plays on both sides of the ball, make the other team earn it instead of giving them freebies due to mental mistakes.

Trust is a must or your game is a bust.

Do they really have more talent? Where?

QB - Advantage KC... Duh
RB - Advantage PHI... Duh
WR - Advantage KC... We're healthy and far deeper. They have AJ and a banged up Smith, that's it Justin Watson has more catches and yards than Jahan Dotson for ****s sake
TE - Advantage KC... Duh
OL - Advantage PHI... It's not by much though. Our interior 3 are better than theirs and the gap between Taylor and Johnson isn't that great anymore.
DL - Advantage KC ... It's not close. Omenihu > Smith, Karlaftis > Sweat, Jones > Carter, Wharton > Davis. It's just not even ****ing close. And, we have better depth.
LB - Advantage KC... Baun is doing this year what Bolton has done every year of his career and the rest of our corps is better than theirs by a mile.
CB - Advantage KC... Nobody on this planet is telling me two rookies and an old Slay is better than McDuffie, Watson, and whoever else we want to trot out there with them.
S - Advantage KC... Reid has been bad this year and is still better than Chauncey. Cook and Blankenship are pretty much a push. God help Philly if they have to use their depth here.
K - Advantage KC... Butker is one of the greatest of all time and Elliott can't make a 50 yarder.
P - Push... Both Araiza and Mann are solid. I'd feel better about Araiza if you truly need to flip the field but that's unlikely.

Hunt wins MVP. There are zero controversial ref calls, so the haters turn to “How could you let that MONSTER play football?! The Chiefs don’t care about women!!!”
