Colonoscopy Carroll strikes again.

This move does nothing.

Stables the QB situation. Lets Carroll build the defense through the draft. Hell they could add DK and Adams to this offense. Anything is possible.

And I'm not so sure on Cross now. If they want to start a new clock on paying a LT, they'll be in position to draft one next year for sure. This looks like a tank job.

I laughed at the idea of them trading Cross, too. I still don't think it's likely, but if Veach came in offering a couple of 1sts, maybe they would.

They could land Conerly at 18 and Booker at 31 to start on rookie OL contracts this year and then have ammo in a better QB class next year.

kccrow 03-07-2025 11:09 PM

I think trading Geno was a good move for Seattle. They don't have to rush a decision on a QB either. They can get by with Sam Howell for a season if they need to. If he can bring his interceptions down, he's actually not that bad.

It was not an incredibly amazing move by the Raiders, necessarily. Sure, it improved them a bit, but I don't think it really did much. Geno wanting 40m and being 35 just doesn't do it for me. He's not worth that.

Stabilizing isn't doing anything in a division with three playoff teams.

We need a playmaker at QB.

Pete Carroll is going to take Jeanty at #6 and you guys are going back to the 80s and he's going to pound the **** out of that kid until he breaks. It's what he does.

Demonpenz 03-07-2025 11:25 PM

We struggle against mobile QB's

I wonder how “Carr4MVP” feels about this?

LMAO

kccrow 03-07-2025 11:50 PM

I actually kid about the Raiders taking Jeanty at 6. It sounds great but the reality is that Carroll is more like to go RB in round 2 and take a bigger back that can pound it. I'd say Hampton if he's there or Judkins from Ohio State.

I feel like the real pick at #6 is probably Graham at DT from Michigan or Membou at RT from Mizzou. Fortify the lines, then pound the rock. Given it's Carroll, I wouldn't be surprised if it's defense first.

we are not suddenly going to take the division from KC with Carroll and Geno, but lets not act like Denver and San Diego are solid playoff teams. Both overachieved to make the playoffs last season, as shown by both getting blown the **** out in the playoffs. Neither are scary teams.

and Carroll/Geno has the potential to be the best the Raiders have looked since 2016. Of course we need a playmaker at QB, but those are in short supply right now. I guess they can be dogshit for yet another year and hope they land Arch Manning.

Raiders won 4 games last year, 8 to 10 wins is very possible in 2025.

kccrow 03-08-2025 12:02 AM

Arch Manning isn't coming out next draft, just saying. That shit is set in stone.

There are still much better QBs in next year's crop though.

You are drunk.

Geno is trash and Prostate Pete might die during training camp.

We went 0-6 against the division.

Dawson 03-08-2025 12:17 AM

What is Seattle doing? Yikes. Mid first round pick, no QB and Darnold is no guarantee to sign with you. Maybe they just take someone like Jaxson Dart but their Oline is pretty bad too.

Weird.

I remember when I had this much optimism about the Chiefs when we acquired Grbac.

Of course I was 12

Starting to feel like this will be the year the Chiefs don’t win the AFC West.

I think it was a very smart move. If they can protect him they'll be competitive.

He's not a top 15 QB but he's solid enough. He can get it done if given what's needed. That's more than the Raiders have had since Car left.

For The Raiders, yeah.

For The Seahawks it looks like a race to the bottom. Like 'Major League' style.

Megatron96 03-08-2025 01:52 PM

Genoa is definitely a significant upgrade for LVR. But not enough with the holes in the rest of their roster. Maybe they’ll crack 10 Ws, but still a 50/50 shot at best.

Molitoth 03-08-2025 02:10 PM

This is unfortunate news. I like rooting for Geno, but now I can't.
