and now it sounds like Bo is competing to increase his playing time at wide receiver. If Bo becomes the full time 3rd receiver or maybe even becomes the 2nd receiver, the chiefs need to pull him from most of his special teams duties.

If Bo wears down as easy as Dante then something is wrong. Also, their duties on special teams are not really all that comparable.

I agree, somewhat. But....LJ can smell the goal line from 80 yards away. Plus, his goal line running late in the season was impressive. A couple of times I saw him get hit cold but he kept pumping his legs until he ran over the defensive player. The only thing I didn't like was his standing over the dude and giving him the business afterwards. I guess he was just showing his might.

I'm looking for big things from LJohnson this year.

why is that...

imo Bo prolly gets banged up MORE doing his special teams duties then Dante. There are many times dante doesn't even get tackled, but Bo always blocks/tackles etc.

Marty?

Solid fundamentals like Marty, yes.

But when it's 1st and 10 on the 40 and you need 2 points to win, Ferentz goes for the deep post. When it's 28-14 at halftime, Ferentz doesn't go into a shell and allow one bounce of the ball to determine the outcome of the game.

OK, I see. Barring injury, I don't think either of those things are likely to happen. I don't think Bo will become a full time 3rd WR (or even less likely, a starter). My guess is that he wouldn't even make the team as a WR if that's all he had going for him. I'm expecting him to be a special teamer with a limited role in the offense just like his role the last few years. Of course, I'm no expert so it's all just guesswork.

I think Colorado will win it. I'm guessing Nebraska will struggle to even finish in the top 50%, let alone win it.

You can't just casually discount talent. And Nebraska has had a major influx of just that as of yesterday. :thumb:
They also happen to be a VERY pissed off team. :D

There's more topics in this thread than Kotter has usernames...

I know alot of Penn State Alumni in my neck of the woods that would love to see "The Curse of the Penn State Running Back" Broken.

Damn, we got some backs from 1 to 3.

I'm certainly not discounting talent. But there's only a handful of coaches in the country that can do what Kevin Cosgrove did to that defense...

okay... ya if he's just a spot player then load him on special teams, that's part of a spot players job. But people keep talking about how good his camp is going and how he can get back to being productive etc, etc.

if that happens i don't want him on special teams ... at least not very many of them.

Yeah, the defense was terrible with virtually the same personel. Fabian Washington, the Bullocks brothers, Barett Ruud..hell, it should have been a top 10 defense, talent wise.

They are now just known as "The Blackskirts".

It was a top 10 defense the year before. They were like 110th in D-1 in defense last year. Count me as mystified.

Who knows, maybe they'll figure it out. Cosgrove doesn't have a very good track record though.

htismaqe 08-08-2005 07:27 AM

the Talking Can 08-08-2005 07:44 AM

man that sucks about Tony...he and Trent are the two players we can't afford to lose...he's got time to rest, but feet problems are hard to heal (a pun!)...look at Shockey
