If he's a whiny bitch like you, I figure he probably had it coming.

Did they penalize the MU fans 14 times?

Called him an average quarterback in a great system.

June Jones is an idiot. He'll get to see how 'average' Tebow is firsthand August 30th, 2008.

Stick up and campaign for your own player, but that's completely classless to bash another player.

They'll be talking Kansas in a couple of minutes on ESPN. I wasn't really paying attention to what they said before the commercials, but I assume they'll be talking to Mangino. He'll be on both ESPN and ESPN2.

I think MU turned down the Orange Bowl......

This post was taken from the Tigger board admist their melt down after losing out on the BCS bowls... Just thought some of you might get a chuckle....

Perhaps the Orange Bowl wanted us as their choice, but took Kansas as the back-up choice. Perhaps Pinkel & Alden wanted to play in Dallas, Texas where we've got a serious recruiting pipeline underway, where we can easily get lot of our fans to, where lots of our current recruits and their families can see us play, where Chase Daniel will get incredible local publicity as a hometown hero, where we get to play a name opponent that we most likely can handle, and where we can still play on New Year's day as the first game out of the gate. Other than the Orange Bowl having a bit more prestige as a BCS bowl, we will get more mileage out of the Cotton Bowl. That's why I pose the possibility that the Cotton is what Pinkel wanted.

Remember before the BCS show at 7:00 started it was rumored here that MU was accepting the Cotton Bowl. If true....................................QUIT UR ****IN BITCHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting, and it would make a lot of sense, if true.

I'm not whining! I'm very happy we got a BCS Bowl game! I've noticed one thing about you though, you seem to be the "internet gangster" you constantly try to insult others and why do you think that is? I know, it's because you need to do that because it's the only way to make yourself feel better about yourself. Grow up man.

Please. You tell me, what was the point of that stupid post? "MU fans are classless, they beat up my poor friend for nothing :deevee: "

I don't try to disguise my shots and act all wounded afterwards, Nancy. Maybe you should grow up.

pikesome 12-02-2007 09:49 PM

I'm late to the party, did MU get screwed? Or do I need to start a new thread to ask?

Yeah, I'd have to hear that from Pinkel himself to believe it.

Although the recruiting aspect will certainly play to our advantage. Nobody in Florida's going to commit to KU, no matter what they do in that game.

I found that it's about $17 million for the Orange and $3 million for the Cotton... but those are 'conference payouts'.

I saw one article that said a team got about $1 million of the $3 million for the Cotton Bowl last year, and the conference split the rest. Would it be the same split for all bowls?

I don't know what the ratio is, buts it would have really helped the program.
