Fargas was even injured in college, when we are the types of guys we're talking about in FA for a team that has no payroll and basically no players...there's little to be excited about.

either way you look at it, charles needs to be able to rely on another back to spell him every once in awhile or his career is going to be short, and i would truely hate to see that happen. Battle and K.Smith dont really seem to be able to fill that role, so lets bring in someone capable of it soon

Look you don't sign RB's, that's a position you draft, productive RB's are found all throughout drafts in in UDFA.
If any teams fan base should know that, it's this one who has now given 2 straight RB's 2nd contracts and watched them fizzle out. |

Nobody is expecting the Chiefs to build a team exclusively on drafting or believing that signing a few players to complete a team is pulling a Snyder. The point that is being made is the Chiefs suck right now, will still suck even with Dansby or Rolle or Boldin and will continue to suck until they draft and develop better. Making it rain on a few players won't change this fact. Trying to put the cart before the horse in a mediocre FA pool overall isn't going to improve the results on the field. Same thing goes for a good FA pool, though. E: CP is lagging like crazy on my conquest to make awful posts. |
Well **** man, since the team is gonna suck anyway, why try, why even draft?

Now you're starting to think like a real Chiefs fan

RB's available:
w.parker t.jones j.fargas LT b.westbrook pick one. . . . |

Guess the Jets shouldn't have signed Bart Scott last year since everyone thought they were a 5-7 win team. |
The Jets had plenty of talent around to start, drafted well and brought in a coach capable of properly utilizing it. Try again.

Bart Scott isn't Julius Peppers. I would be all for bringing in guys like Scott and Jim Leonhard. They are pieces. Peppers is a final piece. You don't sign that kind of free agent until you have a team ready to make a run. |

The Chiefs really need to show some actual progress first to see if this "plan" is actually working. If it's not working, I'd prefer to not be saddled with over priced free agents that aren't worth a damn/don't fit in the next system to go along with a group of wasted picks. Scott Pioli is going to cycle through a ton of lol tier Free Agents to try and get a gem out of the trash pile and will very rarely sign a bigger name Free Agent. Given that so far he's shown that he's a creature of habit, that's not going to change. |
