If you look through the thread there are several examples, including about 4 posts back on the cyberpower steam machine. Also, you can typically spend 5 or 600 to have a much more powerful machine upfront, and you make up your money in the extremely low cost of use in a PC compared to a console. Every time you buy a console game, that same PC game is somewhere between 10 and 55 dollars cheaper for the same game. So, if you match console game for game, you are getting your money back and then leaving the high priced console games in the wake of the savings explosion that is PC gaming.

Really, if you go back and read the thread, you can see that the console is really a marketing ploy to sell underpowered PC hardware, with proprietary software that keeps the user locked into the mother company for large chunks of time.

And when comparing upgrading from a ps3 to a ps4 to computer to a computer, with the computer, you gain the option of reusing components you already have.

So lets say you keep your case and psu, that's $100 in savings right there.

I feel like if you are big on mmorpg games pc is for you. If not, pc severely limits your choices.

A game I want to play is the new Tom Clancy, and pc players had to sign a petition to get the game to come to their platform. It's just nice knowing the games you want to play will without a doubt come to console. Pc, not so much.

I feel like you dont have a clue what you are talking about.

But we knew that long ago.

How are those game mods coming on console? Oh right...

Here we go again. I have both. If you resell your console games it's not even really close.

End of the price debate.

Once again, claiming exclusives is a two way street.

Many games I want to play NEVER see a console. In fact, pc has tenfolds of exclusives compared to consoles.

Invalid argument.

How is the hacking on PC?

I played MW 2 yesterday and the hacking was so bad on pc I had to quit.

Your argument for selling console games is reeruned.

Spend $60 on a game, sell for $40. Loss of $20.

Buy steam sale game for $10. Loss of $10.

And I'm not even counting the free equivalent to a brand new game a PC is comped every ****ing year.

No one resells console games and gets shit for it.

Even if you do, it is still not even close im compariosn. You are just wrong dude.

It is as if you are a young earth creationist telling Dawkins and NDG how you know the earth is 6000 years old. You don't even realize how bad you sound talking to someone who actually knows shit :/

That's what I mean. For PC to come even close to a console in price range (but still loses) you would have to wait and wait for a game's price to drop. Even then if I resell my game then we are even. Only on console you can play a new release right away instead of waiting months and months on pc for the price to drop.

You don't have to wait and wait for games you idiot. You can find deals in a couple months. Hell, there are deals you can find on ****ing day 1.

You are beyond reeruned.

I bet you have 1 game right now on console, because, clearly, you buy them brand new and then resell all of them.

Quesadilla Joe 01-15-2014 11:59 PM

I only buy one or two games a year and get the rest from Gamefly (and now PS+).
