Be direct here. Which particular argument went beyond left field? Which exact thing did you take issue with?

I have friends that are politicians, this seems eerily similar to their conversation leads.

Honestly, I don't wanna get into it with you. You are just being obtuse and unreasonable across the board on this subject. You've been that way all year with MS in the KU thread. I like Smart, but by god the trolling act you've performed to defend him is so obvious it's border-lining mental.

Umm, wtf is that guy thinking controllers have a difficult job. I will be shocked if he does not get fired for the publicity or someone looking into his actions at work. If he does get caught dropping racial slurs, the thinking will be how far does it go? Does he treat incoming pilots or country planes different?

Of course that is what happens when you are a star player

Stiffer by what measure? Let's not act like attending a game to cheer is of equal value to playing in that game.

Fan accountability? I have never heard that phrase. You really think that is the precedent? Should colleges police all things said by fans? How are the Antlers still attending games?

Of course, that's what happens when you're a booster.

Well, to be fair... I'd give it a bit more time on the booster's side of this. TT is still investigating this, They probably talked to him and had a couple of cronies say "oh no, he said nothing derogatory". That's all they have to work with so far, possibly. The Big XII on the other hand has video evidence of Smart's actions and can jump on it right away.

The booster was probably asked to step away while the School looks into it... We might hear something about it in the future if more conclusive evidence is presented, more than likely there won't be any (outside of the one video which is left to conjecture). We probably won't hear much about it again.

No, it's quite the opposite. Politicians speak using vague notions. I'm asking you to be direct and you have failed to do so. Instead, you've decided to insult and bait me. Who's really acting out the role of the politician here?

Where? Again, be direct and attack my arguments (if you even disagree with any of them).

What trolling act? I'm a Marcus Smart fan, I've said I support his suspension and don't believe he was justified in shoving the fan. That doesn't mean, however, that there shouldn't be fan accountability too for the insult.

That is a fair point, but let's not act like heckling is equal to shoving.

I don't think fans should be able to say whatever the hell they want to athletes without repercussions. Especially college athletes. I think any reasonable person would agree.

See, this is where I'm not sure how anyone can take you seriously on this, man. You act like this type of fan behavior is not normal.

Certain fanbases (who shall remain unnamed) actually have groups in their midst that take pride in being derogatory and personal. As an example, will call the player 24\7 for the week leading up to the game in an attempt to harass them.. they will hold up signs about their dead relatives in the games... etc etc...

And this was within this very conference in recent history. This guy calling a kid a "piece of crap" or whatever is far from the worst thing that will happen or has ever happened even to Marcus Smart. Marcus lost his temper (this is becoming the norm with him) because of what was happening on the court, and used this guy as a target for his fury.

It is out of the norm for an athlete to do this.

So if there is so much that is uncertain about it (and I would agree that there is), why even come out with that bullshit statement and a video that proves nothing right now? Why not wait for something certain?

What is the point of it all (you know, other than to make your University and booster look better)?

yeah, seriously. these guys were in high school not long ago and if you have kids of your own they will be that age/are that age/have been that age and should be able to relate in SOME way, since a parent has been that age also.

I know it's normal. I've been to these games in a multiplicity of locations. I've seen the hateful, juvenile, often racist shit that people yell at these athletes during games. And it's that fact that is exactly what disgusts me the most and what I take issue with. They should not be allowed to do so. Whether he called Smart a piece of crap (which sounds like total bullshit to me) or something far worse, it shouldn't be acceptable at all.

GloryDayz 02-09-2014 07:51 PM

I can't wait to repost the video of fat-fan getting his teeth knocked down his throat and him spitting them out (like hos wife does from the latest John who ultimately paid to get whore-and-hubby into the latest event) while his piece of shit whore wife watches and points at all the teeth littering whatever floor they fall on. Now that I'd find funny....

Because you have 50,000 news folk banging on your door demanding something.

And this is one of your points that I fully agree with (which I stated earlier).

Time for some Walking Dead!
