It's already been explained to you that Tom Brady was top 10 in yards and TDs his 2nd, 3rd and 4th years in the league.

Rodgers was 5th and 4th the year of his SB.

Flacco was 14th and 17th

Eli was 12th and 9th.

The WORST of that group was Roethlisberger as a rookie, and even his 21st YPG was > than Alex has ever been, and he would have been top 10 in TDs had he started all 16 games.

Please just stop this madness. Alex Smith is currently 26th in YPG and has fewer TDs than Case Keenum. This team is going to need an absolute miraculous defensive revival with Houston returning to 100% to get close to a SB while Smith is here.

You realize our offense as a unit in 2015 was top five in points per offensive drive? If Smith is leading the offense and the running backs are feasting inside the ten yard line, it would be misleading to say Smith isn't contributing
To the success of the team.

Efficiency plus wins is enough indication to me that Smith is a quality quarterback. Hard to refute that . ...

What about their concussions from running?

What about his hidden yards and hidden TD's?

What makes the Patriots so dominant over the last several years is that you have to beat them, they aren't going to beat themselves. The Chiefs fall into that category right now too. Especially with Alex taking care of the ball. We have an identity for great turnover differential and low penalties.

This is the reason why the Chiefs have the best chance to defeat New England in the playoffs.

I dont know how we are ever possibly going to replace the 9 rushing yards a game that Alex is averaging more than Foles this season.

The Chiefs have had less than 19 offensive points and less than 187 passing yards in 25% of Alex Smith’s starts in Kansas City (13 games).

WTF? Is this true? No way Alex has been that bad.

Where the **** have you been?

Haven't seen you post in years.

And yes, Alex has been that bad.

2013 - 4 games scored 19 or less. 2 W's, 2 L's
2014 - 6 games scored 19 or less. 6 Losses
2015 - 4 games scored 19 or less. 2 W's, 2 L's
2016- 4 games scored 19 or less. 1 W, 2 L's

19 points seems to be the Chiefs magic number.

If they score 19 or less, they've won only 5 games while losing 12 for a winning percentage of 41.7%.

It's not all on Smith. Reid's play calling has been atrocious at times. He's misused personnel and in 2014, had several games in which the team was completely unprepared (Tennessee, SF, Denver and Arizona off the top of my head).

This team plays well when Andy's game plan works and they're below average when his game plan sucks.

O.city 11-07-2016 05:41 PM

I dont think they were necessarily unprepared in 2014, they just didn't have much talent. It was basically Charles and Kelce and a bunch of Jags.

I have been patient with you to actually generate good conversation on this board... Old man river is going to the ignore list with the rest of the deplorables like pawn, nwo, oak and sauto

They were destroyed by a Titans team that won 2 games that season. The 49ers game was completely winnable but Andy turned away from the run game, so they lost. The Chiefs lost to a 2nd string QB in Arizona, which was ridiculous.

Anyway, the bottom line is that if a team can't score 20 points, most likely, that team is going to lose.
