Day 1, Day 2 or Day 3? Sure.

But megathreads tend to turn off people, so when draft rolls around, there are scores of "Who the **** is this guy? Is he any good?", which inevitably leads to "Dozens of us have been talking about this guy all year".

It just seems counter-intuitive, to me.

This. Keep the sub-forum.

Death to megathreads.

Yeah, I totally agree that the Draft Sub Forum should remain but I also believe that draft discussion in the Lounge should be promoted and not just become a "megathread".

Agreed. It's extremely rare I even open a megathread, much less post to it. That shit is AIDS. That's one reason I'm a big proponent of using sub-forums, and kind of a reason I lost my shit last year. I like being able to go to the topic area I want to discuss and find the thread about what I want to discuss, rather than wading through a 300 page pile of dung.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that. Some of it is a culture thing - people have gotten USED to the idea of megathreads. I wonder if some of it is fear of being called out by the repost police or something. Regardless, I hope we can find a way to improve that somehow.

that is what it probably is. Like cdcox's example. Should be easily solved by posters not jumping on people for starting a new thread. Especially when it's a long time poster and not known for thread spamming the board.

I brought up the idea of a basketball and baseball subforum (or other items) as well but that didn't seem to be doable. Not sure if it means too much reformatting of the current forum.

Many of those come from 20+ posts in Royals game day threads all summer.

But yea, I'm a ****ing loser.

How about we ban him with the exception of when the Royals play day games through the week?

Ugh. Gonna do a self imposed ban to lighten my load here.

This is an embarrassing day.
