Marty Macdonald suggested on Twitter that there still might be hope the Chiefs can negotiate for House’s release. I think some are hoping Marty’s sources are correct and this somehow comes to fruition.

WE know it's not about Clark being cheap. With every head coaching and GM hire, he's gone out and found what was considered the best option available. Money was never an issue with them as he paid all of them well. IMO... This is all on Kentucky, who are screwing themselves for future coaching opportunities.

Some guy from a prominent wildcats site (cats illustrated) is saying the Chiefs are being very aggressive in round 2 in trying to get Matt house. May not be over yet, baby!
