In 2020, the year in which Wilson was given the Man of the Year award, his foundation reported $838,000 in revenue and $1.2 million in expenses, including $257,000 on charitable activities and $548,000 on salaries and employee benefits. Meaning about twice as much money went to executives in the foundation compared to charity and only 21 cents of every dollar earned went to charity.
Not sure their math is quite right there. Looks to me like about 31 cents per dollar "earned/donated" went to charity. But then they went in the hole for another $400K in expenses that exceeded their revenue. Not sure if Russ was on the hook for that or not.

Wow, I never had any ill will toward Wilson but if this is true then he's a scumbag.

Why the hell did Sean Payton hitch his wagon to this cornball. Just so bizarre.

I never give to charity or foundations or any that shit. You have zero idea what really happens with the money. How many millions has been donated to find a cure for cancer? They are not looking for one and if they haven't found one in the last 50 years then they will never find one. The medical/pharma industry rakes in billions and employes millions. They don't want cures.

Sounds like every big corporate charity.
