I had a terrifying reaction to a supposedly real edible with supposedly legal amounts of THC a few years back. I’ve never smoked weed(yes I’m a pussy). Is delta 8 really that strong? I’m scared to try it

Edibles are a tough way to start, IMO. It can take up to an hour for the full effects to kick in, and then they take hours to wear off. It's also super difficult to figure out the dosage if you aren't familiar with the effects.

If you must go that route, start very small and resist the urge to take more until you're very sure you're at the level you want. Once you start figuring out the dosage, you'll most likely feel better about it.

Otherwise, if it's an option, I think oil cartridges with a battery pen are a great, discreet option. They're easier on the lungs than smoking and don't have much of a smell. And they're way easier to control the dosage since you feel the effects nearly instantly and they start to wear off after an hour or two.

If you react like the average person, low doses of THC can reduce anxiety. High doses can increase anxiety. Getting busted in a state that hasn’t legalized weed can send your anxiety through the roof.
