It's like those surfers after losing a leg or an arm to a shark can't wait to go back in the ocean and do it again. If the risk are low and you love the "job", you have no issues with it.

Maybe, but remember that to him this was just a typical tackle then he wakes up in the hospital surrounded by people with a scared look on their face. So there might not be that much emotional trauma associated with it.
Not trying to say it's the same thing but I was in a bad motorcycle wreck in '95 but I was knocked unconscious as soon as I hit the ground, woke up in the hospital getting a CAT scan. If not for the road rash over 30% of my body and subsequent extended hospital stay I would have been ready to hop back on my bike and go at it again. The buddy that ran into me not so much, in fact he never rode a street bike again.

Did you know 'gullible' isn't actually in the dictionary?

People are stupid.

The top one was the single worst tweet of all time and there isn’t a close second.

Hope he makes a full recovery and gets back on the field, if that's what he wants to do. Would be great to see him on the field the next time KC plays BUF.

Crazy that you can go from (clinically) dead to released from the hospital in less than a week.

Another Tweet says that he has been transferred to a different hospital in Buffalo. It's great news that they felt he was in good enough condition to move him to another town. And I think it's good that they're still keeping him with doctors. Better to be cautious.

He won't play again until next year, if he wants to. It takes a while for ribs to heal up after CPR.

Gotcha, interesting. I wonder if that means just that he's transferred into the care of the Buffalo hospital for ongoing treatment and rehab (but able to go home). It kinds of reads that way, but not 100% clear.

Regardless, it sounds like he's well on his way to recovery. It'll be fascinating to see if he can ever play again.

I would hope they can give him some thicker pads. Like 2-3X thicker than the pads he was wearing at the time of the incident. Much thicker pads might help prevent this crazy situation from happening again. I would want as much protection as possible if I was in his shoes. Just my 2 cents.
