Wow. Perception here about their DC does not match their fanbase. At all. General consensus is they're pretty tired of him. And looking into the numbers they kind of have a point. Only once has he fielded a top 5 scoring defense. The rest are mediocre to outright bad.

Although it's a lot more to do with their cheap ass owner refusing to give out second contracts than the DC. Jessie Bates is a top 3 Safety in football and they refused to even negotiate a second contract with him.

It's official, they're ****ed

And yet they have been the best Playoff defense in recent years. 80% of their Playoff wins (4 of 5) featured the Cincy defense giving up less than 20 points. Even in their 2 losses, the defense only gave up 23 to explosive offenses led by Stafford & Mahomes.

Meanwhile you have the opposite situation in Buffalo. Fancy regular season statistics for the Buffalo defense, but they get absolutely torched in the Playoffs every year. They even gave up over 30 points at home to a 3rd string QB for Miami.

Almost feels like a trap game. I refuse to believe that CIN is going to come out and play the Chiefs as bad as they did vs. NE a few days ago. Guess we'll see.
