This might be the most talented Chiefs team in aggregate on paper that I've seen in the past 15 years, but you are absolutely hating every inch of it. New offensive scheme, new defensive scheme, new coaches at every position, but a guy boofs one early in camp and you are on them like stink on a monkey. I think we can give these guys a bit leeway without all the platitudes, at least at this point, no? |
Frazod keeping it gay.
Nothing new to see here. |

Since we are posting the negitive stuff from today, we probably should get what appears to be Bray's last 4 throws of the day in...
#1: Reid Ferrin @KCChiefs_Reid now Bray to Draughn on the rt side, then PBU by Josh Martin #2: Nick Jacobs @Jacobs71 now Bray feeling the pressure up the middle. Throws the ball behind Roberts. #Chiefs #3: Nick Jacobs @Jacobs71 now Bray with the deep ball. Poor decision because Greg Castillo had inside position. Copper breaks up the almost INT And #4: Jason Madson @Jason_Madson now Josh Martin just sacked Tyler Bray. #ChiefsCamp |

The OL is probably struggling with cohesiveness because 3 guys are with the 1st team right now that werent even playing last year. Albert and Hudson are the only two that played significant time on the Chiefs line last year. Our left guard and center didn't play last year (apart from the couple games Hudson started) Fisher is playing a new position. That paired with the fact that we are gonna be going away from Zone blocking and that means that even returning players are learning new techniques and it should be expected for them to be struggling early in camp. Give these guys time to gel (that may take a few games into the regular season) and they are gonna be an impressive unit. |

With Davis/McCluster doing special teams we are bound to lead the league in turnovers again.
|
That's not really a troll.
Legit question. Is our D that good, or does the OL suck? |
Quote:
It's evident the guy is going to struggle to hold onto the backup position with the shit performance he has been displaying at camp. Lol |

I think you meant Albert and Asamoah. Not Hudson |

You will find out something over the next 3 or so preseason games. Until then it is just a bunch of BS. |

I wasn't really talking to Clay with that post.
I was talking to the people that share that opinion. |
Quote:
Add to that (I realize this is going to sound pompous), the average fan has little idea the job an O lineman is expected to do on a lot of plays.for example, a few preseason a ago, it looked like Albert was getting beat a ton on the left side on pass blocking. "He was flat out missing 'his' guy!" But watching it, it was clear that the line was (for whatever dumbass reason) going to full slide protection toward the right, leaving that rusher 1v1 with a TE or back. I'd be willing to bet (again, condescension here, I know) no more than 10-15 people on this site could describe/identify/notice slide vs man vs combo blocking in pass pro. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my impression of most posters... As well as reporters. |

(You see that, frazod? When's the last time you had a football opinion like that? The ****ing Reagan administration?) |
I remember the TC reports in 07.
Lots of people were raving about how the defense was ****ing monstrous and was kicking ass left and right (Napoleon Harris! Donnie Edwards! Tank Tyler!) Turned out it was just the worst shit horrible OL we had perhaps ever had, and the D was no better than mediocre. |

Thanks. |

Poe was getting some major props on Chiefs Live tonight. |
Quote:
We'll be fine on D. It's got to be the offense's job to score points the way Reid claims they will. That's the way we're going to win football games if we are successful at all. |
I am just beyond shocked that the offense is behind the defense on day 3 of camp. Shocked I say....

You do realize not 1 single previous training camp has anything to do with this one right? Of course you dont. |

All the reports during camp last year was how much better Romeo ran the camp, etc, etc

And it showed in the product on the field. |

When you look at the collective we have reason for some hope this season. From the talking heads to the coaches to the players coupled with the fact that we do have some talent on this team it is plain as day as to what our problem was the last 4 years..
Pioli Haley Pioli Romeo Pioli Cassel Pioli Quinn Pioli Tamba broke it down when he said this camp is more physical, more team oriented and smarter Incompetence is what he saw the last 4 years. Even ****ing Gunther's teams were better than that shit We had 1 good year in the last 4 and that was when we had an actual coach as an OC who understood how to make chicken salad out of chicken shit but we promptly ran him off |
Quote:
The defense will be good....so I think it's a little bit of both. But it's also the 3rd or 4th day of ****ing camp, I'm not really gonna get excited or worried either way. Now if our offense/defense sucks after week1 while showing no signs of improvement from the preseason/TC...then we gotta problem. |
Quote:
|
The problem with the Pioli teams, offensively speaking, was the undersized O-lines. We were a running team with small guys blocking. I remember hearing on the radio that our heaviest O-lineman was still lighter than Reid's lightest or some shit like that.
I mean, what a concept, a big O-line. I mean even when DV was here, save Weigman, we still had a big O-line in Roaf, Shields, Tait and that big ****ing TE Dunn |
Quote:
|
There was nothing wrong with the size of that line. They ran a ZBS, and it worked. It hurt the team in short yardage situations, but only because those situations were magnified so much due to Cassel's suck.
Denver had an undersized line for years and kicked everyone's ass. |

Observations from Chiefs camp. Expect them to be very busy on the waiver wire, especially at WR: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/ja...-from-rbs-bowe … |

Barry Richardson was a big mother****er and was shit horrible at pass blocking in KC. This line really isn't that much bigger. There are no 340 pounders. |

Stafford only had 20 tds last year.
And it took 727 pass attempts to get that. That guy is overrated on here. He has only had one standout year. |

Try to use your brain. A guy like Stafford is taking a team with a strong defense and running game to the holy land. |
Oh, and it's Smith's body language at the podium that screams "Casshole" to me.
And those reps?(shudders) Deja vu' I say! |

I've yet for you to explain how and why Matt Ryan's offense couldn't score a single point the week in the playoffs versus the Giants, yet the following week, Alex Smith's offense scored 17 points. Matt Stafford has a great arm but a 10 cent brain. 20 TD's and 17 INT's. Those are some amazing numbers. |
Robert Kraft on ESPN alluding to the "right fifty-three." Didn't say it, but claimed that the teams who win it all don't necessarily have the best talent.
Pioli. LMAO. |

Or maybe it was the fact that Stafford threw 20 TD's and 17 INT's. :hmmm: Do you even WATCH football? Or do you just quote stats? |
