Great. Now we need Davis to be awesome just to preserve our slim roughly-10% chance of tying in the 9th.

If you take out last night's 3-4 evening he was hitting .200.

He has left 6 on base in the WS and I didn't even go back to how bad he has been in the ALDS and ALCS.....and if we all remember he was horrific before he had that little punch down the 3rd base line in the game against the A's.

There are only 2 guys on this team I wouldn't ask to bunt, and quite frankly one of them isn't having a good World Series.....Alex Gordon and Eric Hosmer.

That was a really stupid move. Nix was never going to help us in the world series. Colon could have. I'm not saying he would have come through, but there was no reason to leave him off the roster in favor of a guy who hasn't done anything for us the entire time he's been on the team. Colon has come through multiple times.

Nix batting in the 8th, after an ill conceived ds, that's his worst move of many in his tenure here

Meh, all he has to do is play catch with the catcher. We'll usually look at the first strike, never swing at a mistake, and when we do make contact (as you've seen tonight), our aim is true - right at a guy!

Don't know why people think we wouldn't have chance with the only 2 pitching matchups we've won this series. Of course we still have a chance. It's a lot more likely than coming down from 4 against the A's. It's amazing how so many sway with the wind. It's a series. You have a chance as long as you have an at bat.

While stupid here is thought process.

The double switch was to put the pitcher in the farthest batting slot. It sucks that it had to be second base which just leaves Nix. What Ned was hoping for was a tied up game. That way you pitch Herrera two innings, then Davis 2 innings.
