If Kennedy throws a no hitter tonight we still couldn't trade him.

I'm just here to help, guys. |
I'm sick and bored in my last week in Panama - re-watching all the Royals' playoff wins again. Hoo boy did we get lucky - at least through game 1 of Baltimore. It's like the parallel universe version of Chiefs in the playoffs.
WC game (duh): Coming back down 4 in a WC is always lucky. So many balls that were just caught or just missed by the As. Dyson almost over-slid the bag and created an all time Chiefs-esque moment. Pitchout but Norris drops the ball. And finally there were Royals literally in the field of play before Colon scored the winner. If that were the Chiefs you damn well know the refs would have called it. Angels series first two games seemed like the Angels had about 5x more chances to score, then we pull it out with extra inning homers. After the Royals hit like 2 extra inning homers all year or something. Baltimore game 1 - Esky homers lol. Gordon hits a ball that I've never quite seen - a broken bat looper that refuses to drift even a foot towards the line. The right-fielder and Gordo didn't move at first because they were sure it would be foul. Just happened to be with the bases-loaded with 2 outs in Game 1 of the ALCS too. |

Dumb stupid question from the press. No wonder these managers are always so guarded with these numskulls. |
Dozier has his second home run of the year.
|
Kennedy has been a MVP candidate for us this year. Without him we’d definitely be picking lower in the draft.
|
and just like that, kennedy can't win.
#yosted. |
**** your trade value Herrera.
|
Kennedy throws a good game. Herrea blows it. Baseball is a funny game.
|
I was just getting ready to, somewhat jokingly, suggest putting Herrera on ice until we deal him. Then, he promptly gives up a HR.
|
Embrace the suck
|
That's sports right there. Never can get everyone be good at the same time. Your terrible starting pitcher looks like an ace and your unhittable closer blows it.
|
And now the trainer is out. What in the actual ****?
|
and now he's injured, maybe? goddamned baseball..

Well this can't be good

I'd like to see the hit speed on that foul ball Soler just hit. That was a laser.
|
That's an all universe play by Salvy.
|
Haha
|
how many times this year are the royals gonna get ****ed by a runner running way out of the baseline?

Figures, Ump blows the call and then......
|
Who really gives a ****. You're not going to win many games scoring one ****ing run.

If Ned's not going to get himself tossed making a point, it'll keep happening. Like the Chiefs who take the anal ****ings so willingly, with almost no fight, unless you make a point of letting the umpire know he ****ed up, they'll keep ****ing up.

Embrace the suck

The old "chew some ass" arguement. |

But hey, at least we don't have to watch anymore... |
We don’t want Ned chewing ass this year, we are trying to tank and when Ned chews ass we alway real off a winning streak.

Hopefully Herrera was just off tonight.
|
Did our young players learn anything tonight? Perhaps just how far you can stray from the baseline?
Meh! |
Herrera gets hurt whenever he pitches poorly. Move him early. ... or be stuck building the next pen around him as the 7th inning guy again. What do we really think we can get for him anyway?

We really should be thanking Kelvin. This is a crucial series for us to lose. We have to keep our focus on that #1 pick intact. |
86mph offspeed pitch right down the plate.
He really should've had his ass beaten to a pulp in te locker room after. |

Forever Royal
This gives me goosebumps and nostalgia of growing up to the 100 loss teams in that 90's and 2000's. This is what Royals baseball feels like! I don't even care if they lose. It's just a way to pass the time and root for young players to be something. |
One of the true fans went off on me when I said every win now is a loss.

While I prefer the loss, I'll take any outcome where our players play really well and stay healthy.
|
Royals are picking 2nd...
|
They just scored 1 run in a series vs the hapless reds. Who have the worst FIP and worst fWAR.
Read that again. |

Escobar and Orlando should've been let go over the winter, but, Dayton.

The Twins sent Miguel Sano to high A ball today. Brutal. He was hitting about .200 and his strikeout rate is astromonical. He hasn't played every day but over a 162 game season he'd be on pace to strike out nearly 300 times.

It's going to be interesting to see what the Royals do with the roster at the end of July.
Assuming Moose is traded, who becomes your every day 3rd baseman, Cuthbert or Dozier. Personally, I'd rather see Dozier if Duda is still on the roster. But, then, what do you do with Cuthbert. He's out of options so where does he fit? If Duda is not on the roster, I'd like to see Ryan O'Hearn get a shot at 1st. Still no place for Cuthbert. And the outfield, you have two of the four outfielders that should be let go (Almonte and Orlando). Bonifacio gets one spot but with Gordon, Soler, and Boni, you have no true center fielder. I'd say give Bubba Starling a shot but he's currently on the disabled list. With the middle infield, if Whit sticks around, I'd release Escobar and put Mondesi at short. If Whit is not around, you keep Escobar and Mondesi plays 2nd. The Royals will probably surprise us with some moves we'd never considered. |

Gmafb. You cut Escobar no matter what. He's been worthless for 3 straight years and now he's an old SS. Only a doofus would retain such a player |

Nicky Lopez is having a great year in AA. What position is he going to play at the major league level? How's his defense compared to Mondesi?

I love seeing Sano and Buxton suck ass. If both were performing well the Twins would be a decent team. Instead they're stuck in no man's land.

If the royals had diff thoughts, better ones, we wouldn't be the worst team in MLB and headed for 100 losses
|
Just read a Cardinals article suggesting they could trade Kolten Wong for Herrera. Are they that ****ing delusional to think the Royals would give up the top reliever available for a shitty 2B?

We should give up our anchor pitcher for their anchor who is owed more money and years. |

This happens with almost every freaking Cardinals fan. They always think they can give up their trash for a decent player.
|
There is 0% chance we are swallowing $17M for the next two years of Wong. Even if he was released.

Silly. Wong has no value to a team in a rebuild. |
cardinals fans like wong dongs

Re: Escobar, I think we’ll see him ride out the year, regardless of Mondesi.
They want that insurance and want to see Mondesi prove his health and focus. They see Escobar as insurance for that. Merrifield can move to CF if needed and continue to bounce around the diamond, if they keep him. |
He's baa-aack!
