In fact, one of CEH's strengths coming out was his ability to find creases and gash teams right up the middle. He was one of the best interior runners in the nation last year. The interior OL has to get the job done. It's that simple. |

Highlight #33...that cut is almost identical to the CEH TD run. It's spooky...

Funny comment from Marcus Spears now that KC has a serious threat on the ground with Clyde. “Pick your poison, you’re gonna die either way!” LMAO

I think many times if he had just decided to cut left, or cut right, on plays like this, Williams could have gained so many more yards. On this play, CEH slides along the line, and makes a definitive decision to go north/south, making #41 miss, and picks up 5-6 more yards, and those are 5-6 more yards than Damien would have gotten on this play. Williams played great in the playoffs, especially in the Super Bowl, but I don't think he will ever be a running back that impacts the offense all season the way Kareem Hunt did, or the way CEH is about to. You called him a pussy for opting out. It had nothing to do with football, even though I will always love Damien for his playoff/SB performances. |
That run over left guard where he stopped on a dime and then cut it back inside was killer. You just don't have guys that can do that. That is elite material. His vision is also outstanding.
If the interior of our Oline can really step up CEH will shred all year. Osemele looks like he has potential. I don't trust Wylie Reiter is still an unknown(disappointed that Allegretti hasn't gotten in there) |
All my time with football and this is the first time I've ever heard the term "light box". What I like best about him is he knows what the **** he's doing. Suzzer's video clearly shows that. MF'r came fully assembled, right out of the box. Batteries include.
It's pretty sweet being a bona fide fan of the greatest sports team ever assembled since time began. |

I Love the Fact that he keeps our Defense off the Field. When the Defense does get on the field they're not still sucking wind. He makes our Defense much better.

Williams made some huge plays when it mattered most, but throughout the reg season, the running game was sometimes non-existent. Thankfully the Chiefs passing attack was so good that even them being 1-dimensional on offense got them over the top and won them a SB. The NFL got a good glimpse of what this Chiefs team is going to be like with a strong running game...and I think a lot of people in the league shit their pants Thurs night. It's def a pick your poison defending Chiefs offense. They virtually have zero weakness with maybe exception of short yardage goaline situations, some of that has to do with scheme. CEH is a small back, probably good to put in Darrell Williams or Sherman in those scenarios. |
Quote:
Also, CEH got a ton of yards running behind the left side of the line. Williams was running behind shit by comparison last year. Osemele is a huge upgrade so far and Andrew Wylie is still weak at the point of the attack, just like before. |
Williams was always more of a home run hitter, just look at his per game stats.
He had two 100+ yard regular season games in 2019. It only happened because he had runs of 84 and 91 yards. Otherwise he was JAG. He's always been this way, EXCEPT in playoffs. But even look at the Super Bowl, he got the build of his yards on the run that iced the game. Don't get me wrong, its awesome to have a guy like that, but he's not the type of back that you can control the game with unless you are using him in the passing game. And the problem with that is that when you are up and need to put the game away, you don't really want to be passing the ball. CEH changers all of that. |

Williams best quality is that he comes up big in big games.

Just a reminder of how much better Clyde makes this offense
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Chiefs?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Chiefs</a>’ RBs combined for three regular season games with 100+ rushing yards after Kareem Hunt was cut in 2018.<br><br>Clyde Edwards-Helaire has 102 rushing yards on 12 carries in the first 35 minutes of his first game.</p>— Brandon Kiley (@BKSportsTalk) <a href="https://twitter.com/BKSportsTalk/status/1304241719890845701?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">September 11, 2020</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> On a side note, I really wish Damien was here with us. I was so hyped to have Clyde and Damien here as our 1/2 punch. Elite caliber receiving weapons at RB on every down :( |
Makes contact with two guys at the 10 and picks up 9 more yards.
He's 205 pounds. https://i.imgur.com/xhtSS98.gif |
Looks like Fisher tackled him.
|
I really wanted him to score on that play. Not sure if Fisher helped or hindered there.
And yeah, just a bowling ball inside the tackles. |
Remember when Chief Roundup said he needed to “bulk up”
LMAO |
Posted this in the romper room but it’s so true.
Clyde being so short really helps his balance. It’s gotta be hard winning the leverage battle against a guy whose center of balance is so short to the ground. All these tall corners and LB’s aren’t going to be able to get under him. |
Quote:
They made me the running back and called me "cannonball". I was short, build like a brick shithouse and had incredibly strong legs making it very hard to tackle me, even when 2-3 guys were on my back. I also had lightning quick juke moves that shocked everyone. That's how I see Helaire.......:clap: |
Someone on twitter just said he looks like Warrick Dunn. Pretty nice comp.
|
Wow yeah....big time.

Yeah, I can see it. It still don't hate the Emmitt comparisons, either.

No one really says Marshall Faulk, but I think that one could have some legs given his receiving chops.

When Faulk was in Indy his numbers were nothing special. Suddenly he gets in an offense where teams are scared to death of the receivers and QB and his YPC jumps from 4 to 5.5. Gonna be GIANT running lanes for CEH. |
I dont think you can really pin him to one guys style, he's a little bit of everyone... but if I HAD to pick one guy, its MJD with more receiver skill

Lol i still can't help but LAUGH at all of my haters who constantly tried to ridicule me for wanting to take a running-back early...now those very same folks are kissing CEH's ass HEAVY :D . It wasn't hard to see what a decent back could do for this offense and why? Because we already got a glimpse of it in 2018.
As for comps for Ceh..imo he's got traits that Sanders and Faulk had..and once he really gets going in this offense the stuff he could go on to do could be frightening tbh. |
Quote:
My take was a stud RB, while not necessarily a pressing need, would impact this team more than a rookie DB or lineman....that KC's SB window is NOW and it took 50 years to get there. I said it was out of my own selfishness...as I wanted to be entertained. So far...he's looking exactly like I thought he would. That kind of vision doesn't come around too often. |
Lightning Quick Juke Moves!
