Gave us fits when they had nobody. Especially when they started throwing to their TE's.

Andy & Spags did a great job today. Screwed the Bengals, and gave the Denver team a lot of confidence heading into their game with Buffalo. Will be funny if Denver gives Buffalo a tough game.

Thank you for the positive spin. I have to admit, Patrick and company have me spoiled on winning and it made me want to puke seeing the Broncos have their way.

How would one properly refer to four straight titles?

According to my calculations, Kansas City held the ball for 3 minutes and 57 seconds

displacedinMN 01-05-2025 07:08 PM

Looking at that tipped td for Den.

Was Den guy out when he tipped the ball???/

This reminds me of when I was six years old. I dominated my whole block in Big Wheel racing. I was a beast on the Big Wheel and flat out beat any challenger.

One day, after decimating the whole neighborhood, I was going up against Stevie. Stevie was year younger than me and really skinny.

Before the race, a few other kids quietly approached me and said "Hey, just let Stevie win. You could totally beat him, but just let him win a race for once."

So I pulled back and let him win at the end.

A soon as he crossed the finish line, the kids cheered and lifted him on their shoulders, and some of them came over and started hitting my Big Wheel with whiffle ball bats, saying I lost and I sucked.

I never did that again.

He didn't tip it. A Chiefs guy did.

This game was so bad I turned it off at the half. I mean seriously. I expected that at least we wouldn't field a team that clearly did not give one half of one shit to play in or win this game. Maybe the second half was better, but looking at the score, I'd say not.

I didn't think we would win, but I thought they would at least ****ing score. Butker even failed us.

It was a non event. Donk fans feel great now. Heh. They will get anally raped first game.

Nope, he never touched it. They replayed it several times.

One thing this game showed is we are not very dynamic in our depth. Talk about a slow plodding offense with what we had out there.

Steele and Perine are RB

Juju and Watson at WR

Hendershot at TE.

We got to get younger and more dynamic with our depth.

Deberg_1990 01-05-2025 09:25 PM

Remigio 2 catches for 48 yards.

Probably deserves more playing time next year with the starters.

I was incensed that the Chiefs did not show up to play competitive football today. They didn't show up with their B team. They showed up with their F(eff) team.

If I'm a fan who shells out hundreds of dollars to see a professional football game, I expect my team to give me its best effort. It looked like to me the Chiefs didn't even try. They should refund tickets to their fans (and Sunday ticket NFL) for a product that didn't show up to play.

I understand resting players. But not competing at all? If the Chiefs don't care to play they need to not take the fans' money for this game. It was misleading at best, fraud at worst.

Of course, nothing will happen. And I'm sure there are those of you who will say this is the life of NFL football. I don't accept that, and I think a lot of fans don't either. Reid and company should apologize for putting out an intentionally defective product. It's one thing to lack talent. It's another thing to not try to win.

Beyond that, the bigger worry for me is that the "A team" better not suffer a malady of injuries during the playoffs because there is no "B team". We're without depth.

Rant over.

I'm pretty sure the Broncos fans who paid for tickets were more than satisfied with the outcome. And if there were Chiefs fans who bought tickets while knowing how likely it is for week 18 games to involve resting starters, that's on them.

Pretty glad i didn't watch it all. Only a few, obvious, things stuck out. Our depth really isn't that good, it's a thinner roster than others but that's not a surprise. Wentz isn't a starter, even with decent weapons and a solid OL, all the talk was just that. Thuney will start at LT for the playoffs as predicted, Humphries hasn't shown nearly enough. And one player I still think I'd like to see more of is Uche, he looked reasonable.

Would've been nice to have some reassurance on the backups, and maybe see a couple show SOMETHING. But they are not starters. Fingers crossed for no injuries, and we'll be fine.

htismaqe 01-06-2025 08:31 AM

Broncos fans are sticking to the "they actually only held out 7 players" narrative. They actually think yesterday meant something.

ThaVirus 01-06-2025 08:34 AM

I checked out at halftime yesterday.

I see Conner hurt his shoulder. Any other injuries?

O.city 01-06-2025 08:35 AM

I don't get the thought that the Chiefs should have played anyone....why would they?

I'm usually one that is "you have to play football to be good at football" but after the gauntlet they ran, just rest and get healthy.

RunKC 01-06-2025 08:46 AM

I like that Andy played some starters for a couple drives. The entire IOL, Perine, Chenal, Cook, Conner, Hicks, and a few others.

Kept them going instead of keeping them on ice

This game didn't show that at all. We literally were playing the lowest guys we could on the depth chart and, maybe even more importantly, we were using a vanilla ass preseason game plan. Rushing four, no adjustments, run run pass punt. The Chiefs wanted out of this game ASAP. Evaluating our depth based on this game is just ****ing stupid. A better way to evaluate depth would be how the team handles injuries. Ya know, like all of the ones they suffered this season en route to 15-1 and the #1 seed. Actually, I started racing bicycles in college and my first four races I placed 2nd, 1st, 1st, 2nd.

One of them I went clear in the final mile and a guy caught me by half a wheel at the finish.

I agree on a lot of that. I was thinking more along the lines of more younger dynamic guys on the back end of the roster. For WR as an example. We have a good core with Rice, Brown, Worthy, and Hopkins. I don’t think the need of JuJu and Watson is an important. See Rimiggio get time was good. But seeing what Tyquan Torn could do in OT system would have been more ideal in yesterday’s situation.
Same with RB. I’m ok with Perine. But Steele is a FB not a RB. A younger more dynamic guy to get reps and see off he can be anything would have been better.
Guys like that aren’t being counted on. So see if we can find a diamond in the rough
Playing Nnadi the whole game showed he has no business being on the 53 anymore. It would have been good to see what Ika or Lovett could do with extended playing time.

That was more of the thought there

I’ll bet you spent more time typing this up than Andy did putting yesterday’s roster together. It just didn’t matter much to him.

instead of a Chiefs "who's who" list it's just a Chiefs "who?" list.

You don't know who Jaden Hicks, Joshua Williams and Wanya Morris are?

Casual.

Broncos 24 vs Bills 22 Nov '23 in Buffalo. Broncos better-Bills weaker

There is a chance
