Going to leave us with somewhere near $15M probably.

The Chiefs can afford to do this if they can fix the defense through the draft. If the defense stays nuked I would argue they couldn't afford to do this. Creating Texas Tech again would be, IMO, not maximizing Mahomes contract. Plenty of time to go here. Electric stuff either way.
