It looks a lot like we ended up with a, or maybe the, better/best prospect we've seen in a few years.
Get the QB right and in today's NFL you can get a hell of a lot wrong. Get the QB wrong and everything else has to go right.

I'm at peace with the trade. But the QB position is only one problem. We have this midwest attitude that all our players have to be lunch pail choir boys. We've had some goofy guys in there. But we haven't had a Ray Lewis arrogant son of a bitch in a while that's loud, obnoxious and other teams love to hate. We may have had the extreme version of that in Peters but the midwest clearly wasn't ready for that. It's probably a reason why the national media seems to think we're about as exciting as bland oatmeal. Nobody wants to hear the umpteenth KC player interview like a rehearsed robot.
I just hope we don't go back to the boy scout mentality again. Just because Peters didn't work, I hope we'd still want to go out and grab some nasty, obnoxious sons of bitches. And I hope they'll be accepted. Peters may have been wrong to egg on the refs, but wasn't there a part of everyone that was tired of watching our guys get pushed around? He may have been wrong to go at war with Sutton, but there's another part of me that wonders how more defensive players didn't speak up when they were clearly being misused. There were parts I'm glad we're rid of, but other parts that were actually pretty refreshing.
