@AllbrightNFL Rams asked for no leaks til official, don't want another team trying to put a better package together.

LOL why would the Chiefs not leak it then, maybe get in a bidding war.

Also that rules out the Aaron Donald pipe dream, because no package would beat that.

Translation: Rams raked the Chiefs over the Coals and don't want another team to see that and jump in with a slightly better shit offer. If it was a kings ransom then they wouldn't care if it was leaked because no one would match it.

No one really thinks they’re getting Donald. Anyone sane that is. This is just stupid that it’s not leaked. We know he’s traded. We found out the Smith details

There are a lot of people in here that seriously thought that last night.

So is it not official and signed off on? I know it can’t be officially announced until March 14th. Does this imply that the Redskins could still theoretically back out of the Alex Smith trade? Or does it mean that we still haven’t actually locked down the Peters deal? Some inconsistency here. But perhaps the Chiefs are shopping around Peters with more to show now?

So wait if there is zero interest in trading for Marcus Peters from the rest of the league, then why would they be worried about someone else beating their offer?

:hmmm:

It looks a lot like we ended up with a, or maybe the, better/best prospect we've seen in a few years.

Get the QB right and in today's NFL you can get a hell of a lot wrong. Get the QB wrong and everything else has to go right.

I'm at peace with the trade. But the QB position is only one problem. We have this midwest attitude that all our players have to be lunch pail choir boys. We've had some goofy guys in there. But we haven't had a Ray Lewis arrogant son of a bitch in a while that's loud, obnoxious and other teams love to hate. We may have had the extreme version of that in Peters but the midwest clearly wasn't ready for that. It's probably a reason why the national media seems to think we're about as exciting as bland oatmeal. Nobody wants to hear the umpteenth KC player interview like a rehearsed robot.

I just hope we don't go back to the boy scout mentality again. Just because Peters didn't work, I hope we'd still want to go out and grab some nasty, obnoxious sons of bitches. And I hope they'll be accepted. Peters may have been wrong to egg on the refs, but wasn't there a part of everyone that was tired of watching our guys get pushed around? He may have been wrong to go at war with Sutton, but there's another part of me that wonders how more defensive players didn't speak up when they were clearly being misused. There were parts I'm glad we're rid of, but other parts that were actually pretty refreshing.
