Last I heard was indefinite. And the last time I saw Duke play, which was last week, he was limping real noticeably while walking to the locker room at halftime with the rest of the team.

Was reading an article on CBSSports today that stated Duke was hopeful Kelly would be back in 2-3 weeks.

I heard somewhere he would be back within 2 weeks...pretty sure it was monday after our game against WVU.

I'm not too sure how much Kelly helps them though. They are still soft with him or without him. Coack K is the Mike D'Antoni of college basketball. The way they play makes them mentally weak, IMO.

I hate Kelly as much as the next guy.

But he's a pretty good ballplayer. He extends the defense out.

His range pulls big men away from the basket and guard him around the perimeter, which most bigs don't do, and aren't comfortable with.

Oh they can beat people. But consistency is the problem. Curry has been off and Plumlee won't make a move to beat you. Most of his shots are wide open looks off penetration and offensive boards. If a team plays solid defense and Curry isn't lights out there isn't anybody that can straight up beat you.

Great news for them, then. Because without him, they're pretty shitty and will lose any road game against a decent team. With him, they're a NC contender. Brings the entire team together on both ends and prevents teams from collapsing down on Plumlee. They better make sure he's not coming back too early, though, because if he re-injures himself for March, they've got no shot.

last Sunday all the talking heads were saying "if MI beats IL they will be #1". unlike many fans I am perfectly capable of being unbiased....and when I was looking at the numbers and the RPI I could not for the life-a-me understand why it wouldn't be KU even if MI beat IL.
so MI beat IL and in AP poll they are #1. BUT....IMO, the REAL poll is the coaches poll. I'd think the coaches would know more than the AP voters so in my mind I've always considered the coaches poll the "real" poll.
oddly enough though, it's the AP poll that is always referenced when defining a teams ranking whether it be on ESPN or during a live game or whatever, it's the AP that they always use.
