People want to call it an excuse, but to add, it can't be fun throwing the ball with a busted up middle finger on your throwing hand either. Not saying that this was the issue, but can't say that it wasn't. The OC's comments sure did reflect that the injury was an issue.

It IS an excuse. He was ass in that game and it had nothing to do with his finger. Just own it. You won't be killed for admitting it.

He made bad decisions and those were compounded by throws that were way off in some cases. It was a suck performance even if he made a on point pass with those picks.

It makes sense they knew he was having issues with the finger.

They were mixing in a LOT of Kaepernick substitutions as a way to get around having Smith throw as much.

And they didn't look very prepared to do them. The plays pretty much all failed. But even if they didn't have the practice reps with them they had to try it cause Smith was not 100%.

So, I'm a joke because I admit that there is a possibility, no matter how small, that I could become a fan of another team and replace the 9ers? Why wouldn't I? It already happened once back in 81.
