The deal must be great for us if we would agree to a stipulation like that. It would be dumb for us to not leak the details in hopes that a team would beat it... unless it was a very good deal.

Personally, I don't know why a team would be afraid of another upping the ante if they believed their agreed upon deal was fair market value.

I would say it means that they are pleased with whatever the compensation is and don’t want to do anything to get it pulled off of the table.

Instead of being insufferable, I’ll choose to put some faith in Bill Maas for saying this will make us happy and Allbright for saying not to over read and get caught up thinking this deal sucks. Just my choice for the next two and a half weeks.
