I knew it. I knew you would have to deny the injury to sleep better at night. LOL.

Why would the mods kill this thread? Everybody loves to watch a good train wreck. This thread is sports forum ambulance carnage rubber-necking at it's best. You don't really want to see the horror, yet you don't turn away.

A typical Alex Smith thread.

It makes sense they knew he was having issues with the finger.

They were mixing in a LOT of Kaepernick substitutions as a way to get around having Smith throw as much.

And they didn't look very prepared to do them. The plays pretty much all failed. But even if they didn't have the practice reps with them they had to try it cause Smith was not 100%.

He still made BAD decisions with the football, though and it had nothing to do with his finger. Didn't Gabbert play with a bum finger on Sunday? Does that excuse his pathetic performance?

Pathetic Alice Smith fans will NEVER, EVER, EVER, admit that Alice Smith had a bad game that was HIS OWN DOING. Always was excuse.

Alice Smith fans would never give Kaepernick those same excuses.

THAT IS WHAT I SAID

He made bad decisions

Those games never happen in the NFL?

Gabbert has shown himself to be not good either way. The finger issue is a possible reason he wasn't even up to his usual bad play.

And around and around we go. The point is, the bum finger excuse does not wash because he made bad decisions in that game that led to the Giants winning handily. He played poorly, so why bring up that silly excuse? Why is this guy so special where every little thing that isn't perfect is magnified?

Not a silly excuse. If you are physically not right it matters.

What is obvious would be to give the Giants Defense credit but fans typically don't like doing that, especially with a team you don't like.
