Nice. That class is looking better.

Do they think he'll be a one and done?

Great. Finally got a legitimate space eater!

Andrew Wiggins (#1 overall pick)
Joel Embiid (#3 overall pick)
Wayne Selden (14th overall recruit)
Cliff Alexander (3rd overall recruit)
Kelly Oubre (11th overall recruit)
Check Diallo (7th overall recruit)
Carlton Bragg (top 25 recruit)
Brannen Greene (4 star)
Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk (N/A)
Frank Mason (3 star)
Devonte Graham (4 star)
Udoka Azubuike (22nd overall prospect)

I'm sorry we don't have Brandon Ingram and Isaiah Briscoe on this team, but we are ranked higher than Duke, UNC, and Kentucky, who all had "better" recruiting classes. I simply don't understand this line of thinking. Our lowest ranked player (not counting Svi) was Frank Mason, and I think we can all agree at least that he doesn't play like a 3 star recruit.

*All rankings ESPN

Updated!

To compare..
Cliff Alexander 6'8.5'' in shoes. 7'3.5'' wingspan.
Cheick Diallo 6'9'' in shoes. 7'4'' wingspan.
Joel Embiid 7'0'' in shoes. 7'5'' wingspan.

Given Kansas' success with reliable PG play and a solid C play, I don't understand Self's love for playing SGs at PG and PFs at C.

I read a scout article and they think he's a 3 year player. He has a really high FG percentage because he's so powerful and gets lots of dunks. Raw offensively but thinks will be a great defensive force and guy that fits KU's system.

Alot of people thought Embiid as a 2 year player too, but shot up the charts.

Wonder if Lightfoot will RS. Especially if Diallo comes back, even though I think it's 80% likely Diallo leaves.

Shit I forgot about him. He totally should, but Self hates redshirts.

Saul Good 01-28-2016 07:12 PM

Almost nobody redshirts in basketball.

Landen did. It's why we're stuck with him for another year after this.

Holy ****. For some reason, this whole time, I had it in my head that he was gone after this year. FML.

If Danny were here, I'd be crowing about the re-Aldriching. Let's see what Bill does to develop him.
