This might even be thread-worthy on its own.
Darrell Wallace Jr. won the truck race in Martinsville. The last African-American driver to win in an upper tier NASCAR event was Wendell Scott in 1964. I'd have thought that Wendell might have won a Sportsman (now Nationwide) race or two in the interim, but ESPN says not. It must be true.:) |
Whee!
Everybody's been all nice and respectful about Harvick leaving RCR. Just business, right? Not anymore. Shit, as they say, just got real. Ty Dillon (Childress' grandson) and Harvick had a run-in at Martinsville and now we know... "The 3 (Dillon) just dumped me," said Harvick, who will drive for Stewart-Haas Racing next year. "Exactly the reason why I'm leaving RCR because you've got those kids coming up and they've got no respect for what they do in this sport and they've had everything fed to them with a spoon." ...Why am I up and posting at 5am Sunday morning? |
No1curr, but they are still racing at Martinsville.
20 2 24 15 11 with 80 to go. There have been SEVENTEEN cautions today. Hell, I don't even care. |
Just got home from the game, but got to listen to the end of the race on the drive home.
WOOT for Jeff!!!!! |

The thing is, it still seems as if he's The Kid, but he's been in a Cup car for 22 years now. God, I'm gettin' old. |
