I agree his butthurt has gone too far. But damn if the triggers weren't very real. The Chiefs QB situation is a travesty at best.

I mean, for crying out loud, we could have still drafted Fisher, signed Bray, and got Geno in the second round. At least then we'd have TWO potential QBOTF duking it out. And we'd still have our second rounder next year.

Quite simply, the front office was unwilling to go through another losing season. So they got a solid yet unspectacular veteran starter. The dream of the first round QB will die for another decade unless we trade or cut Bray.

However, I do believe that Dorsey will pull the trigger on a QB if a guy he likes falls to them. I really do believe that.

When they traded for Alex they had no way of knowing Geno pizza was going drop to the second round- Chiefs just knew he was not a # 1 pick-which he is not.

I thought this was a **TRAINING CAMP** thread- not a still Butthurt over Alex thread-Jeez people put on your big boy pants already-lol

Ive been said that. You are far too quick to judge me, but I really don't think that you have once read what I actually say about Alex Smith. I am a fan, but I know he has faults. Gun shy, takes too many sacks, cant carry your team. At least that is what I saw the last two years.....How is this so hard to comprehend?

You mean like the Aaron Rodgers who the past two years has choked hard in the playoffs because even as good as he is, he cant carry the defense? That Aaron Rodgers? Look, I know the guy is the best qb in the game, but what I have tried to say many times, is that you have to have more than a QB to win. The ELITE qbs didn't win last year. Drew Brees was on a 7-9 team and his defense was the WORST IN NFL HISTORY. You have to have a strong team. I get it that you guys are so qb starved, but your TEAM around Alex Smith, is VERY STRONG. Alex doesn't have to carry your team..

Yes football is only a game but its a game one gets emotionally invested in. If you are a football fan you are emotionally invested in your team. There is no halfway in.

This team keeps repeating its **** ups over and over again. The front office never learns. For some stupid reason I don't understand each and every coach and gm that works for the chiefs think they can win the Superbowl the way no other team wins it. Its like they take the hardest possible road to winning. It makes no sense .

God, every time I hear this bullshit, I look at my sig, and I look at my avatar, and I go, child, PLEASE. You ****s don't know suffering........My qb is a second year player, and hes OLDER than your qb. Okay? I have an owner, that might have to give power of the team to his 83 year old dad. We have a VP that no one likes, and a GM that EVERYONE HATES. Your team, at the very least, has been in a super bowl. Mine is regularly in the ****ing toilet bowl.......

I still don't recall this other concussion either.

But with te new insight into concussions, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it comes to the poit where a 3 one means your done in the league.

he didn't get a concussion in 2011. He wasn't hurt at all. He did suffer a shoulder ding in 2010. I don't recall this concussion that is brought up numerous times.

Now we are going to cry about FISHER?

Almost to a man, everyone here who wanted a qb, was FINE with the pick, as LONG AS IT WASNT JOECKELL. Now that its Fischer people want to bitch about it?

BossChief 08-07-2013 01:15 PM

I wish I was able to stay at camp a whole week as I had planned.

Trying to find good info about practice is hard from home.

Wrong. A RT was wrong.

I agree with most of that.

I'd say that half of our problems have been addressed, if not corrected...a lot less than the 95% Marcellus was saying.

What it all boils down to is how well Alex Smith plays in meaningful games. This team will go as far as Alex will take them and I think anywhere from 5-11 wins is possible.

I'll even push it a step further...if Alex Smith can give us what Trent Green did, we can probably beat any team in the league. Regular or post season.

He would need to develop an ability to ignore the rush and test defenses deep more than he ever has, though.

And that is going to depend on how willing he is to "take the keys, drive the car." as Andy Reid said. There is no doubt in my mind that Alex Smith can be a Rich Gannon type of qb. He just has to play fast, get the ball into the hands of the playmakers, DMC, JC, DBowe, and not get hurt. Don't get rattled if he throws a pick. **** it, if he is going to throw a pick, make sure its throwing it deep to Baldwin, and giving the guy a chance to make a play. hes going to make some mistakes, just don't make them like he made last year against the Giants. Those are the mistakes I cant stand. Even as an Alex Fan, I was cussing his ass out.

How many years of him getting tipped on his ass by scrubs before that happens?

Then you weren't listening.....AT ALL.

Andy Reids philo, you know the old offensive linemen himself, has always been that he doesn't value Left over Right......

That's who he is. That's not wrong, if that truly is his philosophy. Another thing that was said, was that if they drafted Joeckell/Fischer and let Brandon Albert go, or trade him, then it was a lateral stupid move. Which I agree with. Now you have solidified your line. At least the tackles. And between Joeckell, and Fischer, Fischer was the more athletic one capable of making the switch.

That's just smart. Andy has seen enough of his qbs the last few years getting demolished, and it has been pointed out on several occasions that like him or hate him, if you don't have Alex Smith healthy, the chances of the Chiefs having a successful season, are slim and none, and slim ran away.

Just truth bro.
