If this happens definitely choose the bye. Playing at home doesn't seem to help this team much.

Anybody would choose the bye in that scenario. It's really not much of a choice at all.

Frank Reich is out, Katie Blackburn should not get to vote. Newsome, Greer, Tomlin and Vrabel all have an interest in the playoffs falling their way. These should not be the people making this decision.

Play 3 games at home or 2 games, 1 at home and 1 on the road if it's against one of two particular teams??

I don't know about that. Those bolded Teams are AFC teams who could be negatively affected by attempts to be "fair" to the Bills and Bengals.

And all the NFC squads, disrupting the playoff schedule probably doesn't sound very appealing to them...

if that's the list of people voting on a solution you might as well get some fans in on it too lol

I mean, right now it looks like the Chargers are gonna be the 5 seed and we'd play them in the divisional round (if it is true about the NFL going by winning percentage for the 1 seed).

Not after Lamar makes his triumphant return and beats the Bengals next weekend.

I think Billay should be part of the competition committee.

But again, we could end up playing Cincinnati at a neutral
Site, and the bengals may have to play Buffalo in Buffalo

Cincinnati and Tennessee are also AFC teams with an interest.

How do the Ravens feel about this? Or other teams? Nobody is mentioning them but doesn't that game directly affect their chances of winning their division?

As a fan, seeing something like Joe Thiesman's leg getting snapped or the injury to Alex Smith is much more traumatic. Seeing Tua's hands clench due to traumatic brain injury was horrible. Watching a player take a helmet to helmet hit and fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes is hard to watch.

I read somewhere that injuries like this were common in baseball where players would take a fastball to the chest and stop their heart. What sort of changes do we envision the NFL is going to make to prevent sharp blows to the chest?

The action they took was appropriate for the circumstances.

Using the fear of precedent argument to Monday Morning QB proper decisions serves no purpose.

Billay would absolutely love that!
