I'm pretty sure the dad was drunk and high on something, and the son was just being a loyal dumbass.

ROFL......why am i NOT shocked by this?

The boy—who I assume is William The III—is now 22 and looking at his MySpace (or course) page it doesn't take long to see that starting a brawl at a baseball game is the crowing achievement of his short life. (After "anticipatin" the birth of his "shorty.") One of the pictures in his album is a screen shot of the incident with the caption: "ME AND DAD ****IN UP THA COACH FA THA KANSAS CITY ROYALS." Charming

The dugout's reaction to the father/son attack is probably the highlight of the 2000-09 Royals. Absolute wave of players overwhelm the attackers.

If I recall correctly (I was watching the game live), I believe Aaron Guiel grabbed a baseball and was pounding one of the meth heads in the face with it.

Lowe, Feldman Likely To Be Available In Trades
By Ben Nicholson-Smith [June 1, 2012 at 9:08am CST]

The Rangers are expected to make right-handers Scott Feldman and Mark Lowe available at the trade deadline, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports. GM Jon Daniels will look for a right-handed hitting outfielder in return.

The Rangers have an abundance of right-handed pitching after signing Roy Oswalt. Relief prospect Tanner Scheppers continues to pitch effectively at Triple-A, and Neftali Feliz will re-join the pitching staff at some point.

Lowe, 28, has a 2.66 ERA with 8.9 K/9 and 2.7 BB/9 in 20 1/3 innings two months into the season. He'll earn $1.7MM this year before hitting free agency. Feldman, 29, has a 4.50 ERA with 4.1 K/9 and 4.5 BB/9 in 24 innings as a fill-in starter and reliever this year. The Rangers figure to decline their $9.25MM club option ($600K buyout) for Feldman if he's still on their roster after the season.

This was my exact thought. Let Frenchy go back to Texas.

As Rany said earlier today with Petro, there's only 1 GM in the market for Frenchy and he works in KC.

Wil Myers is playing out of his gourd.

DeezNutz 06-02-2012 06:08 AM

And Rany is back...thank goodness.

To expand on that. The 21 year old had a 2-4 night with another homer. He is averaging a HR about every 3 games in AA and AAA and hitting .345 in Omaha

I have no idea why they keep DHing him though when he obviously will play a position at the next level. Maybe to not tip the hand of needing to move Frenchy?

No kidding, real good stuff.

Are you on twitter? He tweets quite a bit atleast...

I hope Myers is up by the end of june if he continues to rake..just don't see it happening unless Frenchy is moved. I dont think that will happen for some strange reason though even if he continues to hit

CaliforniaChief 06-02-2012 08:40 AM

Anyone know the timetable on Sal's return? That would be a nice boost along with a Myers call-up and perhaps the acquisition of a pitcher.

We're still very much in this thing.

We need to win 5 or 6 out of these games with Oakland/Minny. Do that, and we'll be past Detroit and starting to move on Cleveland.

He said on Twitter that his arm was sore so he was just DH'ing, but that he would be back on the field soon.

Injury updates - from KC Star

• Catcher Salvador Perez (knee) and center fielder Lorenzo Cain (hip flexor) are regaining their health in Arizona. Royals general manager Dayton Moore said Perez might be able to leave for a minor-league rehab assignment on Tuesday, while Cain is about a week behind Perez.

According to Moore, Perez caught seven innings on Friday. (He threw out two runners and picked another off first.)

“He’s going to take (today) and Sunday off,” Moore said, “and go out sometime next week.”

• Infielder Chris Getz, who is recovering from a left ribcage contusion, took batting practice on Friday and could leave for a rehab assignment early next week.
