May I get on your nuts?

Or do I need to ask SNR's permission first? Because I'm pretty sure that in CP Prison parlance, you're already his missus.

How would you rate the current WR corps compared to the WR corps from two seasons ago?

staylor26 08-17-2016 01:25 PM

So wait, you guys think that the same guy that is being a hard ass about dishing out cash to the ultimate leader and cancer survivor in Berry, just paid a brokedick Hali that will no longer be effective on Sunday's?

I highly doubt Reid told Teicher that Tamba's knees are done. Does that even make ****ing sense?

Maclin alone makes the corps 100% better.

With a name like DJLN you have enough people on your nuts already. If you get on my scrotum it's likely to wrip.

I think they were in a situation were they didn't have much choice but to pay hali.

Him not being able to practice now, isn't a good sign for the future.

I do wonder if houston were healthy, what they'd have done with halis contract. They likely feel that berry wanted to be overpaid in line with his position and that they've been able to find adequate safety play elsewhere cheaper.

Whereas with olb, they're whole defense relies on pressure from those two guys and with houston down and ford being whatevwr, their hands were tied.

It won't have any bearing on his roster status. If he were cut, all those LBTE incentives would fall off anyway. So this doesn't do anything to grease the skids on cutting him.

I suppose, but the timing is odd. The Chiefs could have used that cap space earlier in the year to bring in Dwight Freeney or another player.

Why do it now, unless their preparing to announce another extension and plan to use that cap space?

Our best WR from two years ago wouldn't make this roster.

Our worst WR from two years ago wouldn't be allowed to patrol Mark Donovan's sacred parking lot.

They never should've been called LTBE anyway.

They're mostly 'per game' incentives as well as catch/yards incentives, IIRC. How they're classified is based on how the player played the year before.

Well Streater hardly played the year before and the NFL isn't supposed to consider why in that calculus. He only played 1 game so by the general rule, only 1 game worth of game incentives should've been considered LBTE. And as he had 1 catch for 8 yards, none of the catch/yard incentives should've been considered LBTE.

To me this is just righting a wrong, not actually changing much. I mentioned it the first time I noticed his cap figure; it never made sense for those to be called likely to be earned based on any rule I could find.

This is why I think it is an indication that he has strengthened his position on this roster.

If he gets cut, then how his contract is structured in terms of LTBE or ULTBE is irrelevant.

I'm not sure precisely how much say they have in the matter. I believe the NFL did it and they had to appeal it.

Good point.

If they were going to cut him anyway, why bother? Hadn't looked at it from that angle.

I think they had to in order to fit foles under the cap.

So why overpay? Why not get him back on a contract closer to Freeney's?

This just doesn't make sense. I'd like to hear the interview because we're just going by Meatloaf's interpretation. I just heard his interpretation of Hali's quote about Ford the other day, and it was very overboard/speculative.

What's their alternative? Overpay for someone outside the organization that they don't know much about?

I do wish they'd have invested a little more via the draft this year at olb, but I don't really remember if they had a chance.

Teicher loves doom and gloom reports. Why would he say this on the radio and NOWHERE else?
