You thought that was a good game? While Dayton Moore is busy running out 7 has beens/never will be's is a good thing? I hope he can get out from under Alex Gordon/Billy Butler ASAP.

1 down 2 to go. If the Royals make Andy P look that good, then I can't even imagine how they will make CC look tomorrow. Looking forward to it. And that ump was TERRIBLE.

Well, no it wasn't a good game. It wasn't an atrocious game, either. Its not the kind of game to make me lose all confidence in Dayton Moore. I'm also not about to say that Gordon and Butler can't progress this season based on the 1st four games of the season in chilly weather.

As the great oft defender of all things Royals I have to ask....... how can everyone on this planet and a few others know exactly what is going to happen when you parade Sidney Ponson/Kyle Farnsworth to the mound, except team management? No really, how? I'd like to know.

Yes they pitched "well enough" to technically keep us in the game... but did anyone really believe we were going to get to Petitte/Rivera once it was 4-1... or even 2-0? As cold as the bats have started after a very hot hitting spring training... did ANYONE really think a comeback was happening? Did anyone really think the Yankee scoring might be over at 4 with our chosen pitchers?

At least we (you) didn't dedicate millions of dollars of your own hard earned money to renovations that have made the K absolutley incredible, just to have team management almost seem to go out of their way to trot a couple of the leagues worst pitchers out against the powerful Yankees to re-open it. No, that would have been a shame.

Well, Farnsworth was excellent today pitching in the role he's best suited for.

Good. It was meant as more of a blanket statement about him in general but I am glad he pitched well today. I would love for him to shut us all up. No one wants the Royals to win more than I do.

I'll gladly take the over on that..

I hope we can score more than 2 runs in a game this year. That would be AWESOME!

Im starting to think this franchise will never develop a BIG BAT guy ever again.....

and thats the only way this franchise will ever be able to compete for anything.

Moustakas and Hosmer have the most power of any Royals prospect in a loooooong time.

I unfortunately have plunked down the dollars. Ohh well another season another losing record.

sportsman1 04-10-2009 06:02 PM

Honestly its too early to worry about it, and say the seasons over. Tomorrow or next week we could start putting up 12 runs a game. I do know that the pitching seems to be solid enough to stave it off for a little while (exceptions being Farnsworth on Opening Day, and HoRam in the Rotation). Spring Training showed a lot of positives offensively. Jacobs showed some power, and several people (Teahan) had high averages.
