That has A LOT to do with this conversation.

Look the Saints had a better gameplan, after the first quarter they outplayed the Colts for the most part. The Colts coaching staff coached extremely tight once the Saints got back in it.

Who is? You seem more interested in great plays and statistics than wins.

Games are not won on 40 yard passes for the most part. Game management is what wins games. Brees managed his game better than Manning. And he won.

About as much as bringing up Robert Meachem as a comparison for a perennial pro bowl player.

football is a game of inches...the three plays that were needed to win a game that featured little defense all went to the Saints...

Plain and simple.

If I thought Manning was at fault for the loss, I'd peg it with him and eat my crow...I call them like I see it and in no way can I pin that loss to Peyton Manning.

I'm sorry...

Just can't do it. Only so many times in a season can one player continuously bail an entire team out...yesterday just wasn't meant to be.

He could have made a better pass when he needed it to, or like other people have said, passed it to a open Collie underneath.

well off the top of my head I'll give you the pass to Garcon that Garcon dropped...

those are passes on 3rd down that 99% of QB's just can't make...

he also routinely hits his 3rd or 4th option on pass plays...not many QB's can progress through reads so quickly and with such ease...that throw to Clark on 3rd down near the goalline looked simple bit it was actually such a great play by Manning...

the guy just amazes me...

even when they lose

i'll fix this for you...

manning has a lot more to do with their shining moment than they have to do with his...

I promise you that.

Maybe Manning only wins 1 Super Bowl...

but he was going to win a Super Bowl with ANY team that drafted him...maybe more with some and less with others.

L.A. Chieffan 02-08-2010 02:17 AM

i was amazed too. im amazed when the greatest qb of all time shits himself

That had a lot to do with the conversation. You said Manning couldn't win with Wayne having a shitty game. Well then, how was Brees able to win when the guy who was tied with Colston for the 2nd most TDs on the team having a shitty game?

You are talking about Manning winning a SB and the Chiefs not. WTF does that have to do with anything?

yeah, he could have...

you're absolutely, 100% correct

but you're never going to find a perfect QB in the NFL...ever

Peyton Manning is, however, as close as I've ever seen. That's for sure.

Hootie 02-08-2010 02:19 AM

I don't know why this guy is trying to turn this into a "what I say/reverse it to the Saints ordeal"...

I'm not taking anything away from the Saints...Payton rebounded from a terrible NFC Championship game and coached a marvelous game...Brees executed his gameplan almost flawlessly...and the Saints did what they did all year...sucked on defense but came up with a big homerun when they needed it most.

Kudos to them.

All I'm saying is...

Not Peyton's fault.

Team effort in this one.

Do I think the better team won?

Nope.

All I said was Reggie Wayne picked the Super Bowl to have the worst game I've ever seen him play, that doesn't remotely imply that couldn't possibly win that way, just that he was ****ing awful when he's suppose to be a star.

I don't know how that implies they couldn't possibly win with Wayne sucking or that it somehow compares to Robert Meachem who isn't even a starter.
