I thought it was a bit of hyperbole when the announcer said, if the US won it in OT, the goal-scorer would have a place next to Mike Eruzione. I'm sorry, but "NHL pros vs. NHL pros, in a battle of friendly border countries" can never match the Miracle on Ice. It was interesting, but I miss the days when we had "enemy" countries like Russia, Germany, and China to hate in the Olympics.

It would've been nice to win, but the US had already notched the most medals and Canada had already tied most Golds (and now they've got the top spot). There wasn't much riding on this IMO, and I doubt it will suddenly lead to a lot of little kids wanting to play hockey. (Besides, we'll need those ice rinks for all the new curling leagues that will spring up.) :D

Such a travesty that Luongo and Brodeur get gold yet Miller gets silver...frustrating.

USA had the best overall tourney but you see what can happen in a one off final, awesome game though.

Ah well, this team is gonna be awesome in 2014...T.J. Oshie still should've been on this team.
