Tough choice.... drive one car to the other dealership, sit in both again, drive the other, compare options, comfort, etc; then have the salesmen fight to the death just for the hell of it.

Have you looked into the new Mustangs at all

Also thinking of going to the V8 model if the insurance agent can get the price down.

Both are very nice and would be a good choice. I am partial to the second one, color, rims etc. but have heard nothing but good things about that new six.

I haven't been keeping up lately with all of the changes offered, but are they really offering a shaker hood now with that six cylinder?

Yes, I don't like the new European style. If I go with the 6 cylinder I can't even get leather seats. The interior is more cramped than previous models. It made me sad what they had done. I still think my 2005 first year retro was the best they ever did but maybe I'm biased.

Yep with the 2015 models. They also changed the grill and front end. Chrome tailpipes. First "major" change since the retro came out.

Doing that now. I sent them the link. Also I know what they paid for the cars and told then that. They both thought I was BS'ing till I told then the #. Then it was good, I wish everyone knew how much we paid. They would realize we are not making $5K - $10K on every car.

I'm not a big haggler - and that's probably not really a good thing - I like to get shit done and over. Usually Carmax is more than fair - think I've bought 12 cars there in the last 10 years - they love me and make it easy to buy a car - seriously they approved me in 3 seconds last time - from start to finish. LOL

Yeah, me, neither... I didn't do enough research with the first car I bought and regretted it, but so far everyone I've worked with at the BMW dealership has been very straightforward, and based on all the research, it didn't feel like I needed to haggle. I'm going to use carmax as a second opinion on the trade in value and my bank as a second offer on an interest rate, and I think BMW might actually win on the latter and be pretty competitive on the trade in value.

All that said, I'm still a little nervous about all the add-on junk, hoping they don't hard sell that crap... I've heard of people having to say no over and over with the hard sell, but I guess as long as I get the key to the car at the end without paying for super duper leather protectant and extended warranties, it won't matter much.

saw a new M3 today - white + black wheels - very attractive combo IMO.

I'm still torn. It's still either the 335i or the Challenger. They are really totally different cars.

The Challenger pull for me is my youth when I actually rode around in those "real" muscle cars and owned them. I remember the good times of "cruising" and looking for women and a good time. So its probably just nostalgia. But the 2015 model rides the best of any of the retro muscle cars I've ever ridden in. It's comfortable and has plenty of luxury that the old cars from my youth never had.

The dilemma is the seat in the 335i. It wasn't a bad fit, just could have been better. Got me worried about the 1.5 hours I'll spend in it every day.

I can't seem to find a "regular" seat in the 335i. They all have the "sport" seat. I think that for us big guys those wings on the seats just don't feel right to us. If its just a regular seat, it might fit well.

What BMW has "regular" seats or all of them those winged seats these days?
