We’ll get someone. The cap room is there.

If Veach pulls off a CB and DL before the draft.....then he's the ****ing man.

Coming from the ****ing moron who thinks Alex Smith is an elite QB.

Yeah....I don't think we can afford to sign a CB in FA now.

Depends how much money they moved forward.

1) The cap is a joke. It's so easy to manipulate, the only question is if your owner wants to spend. And for all of Clark's faults, the guy will spend every $ the GM wants. Period.

2) It's 2018. Did you see the Super Bowl? The league is ****ing Tecmo Bowl. I'm ALL about loading up on offense. It'd be nice if we didn't suck so bad on D, and had infinite resources to improve it, but I love this move.

At least we might be great on one side of the ball now. For years we've been somewhere between bad to "pretty" good on either side of the ball, depending on which season, never elite. Never scary. No one's ever afraid of our offense or defense.

Maybe now we'll start curbstomping some fools ... or at least score A SINGLE POINT IN A WHOLE HALF OF A PLAYOFF GAME.

Haha! I've wanted to compare Berry to Sanders many times publicly on here, but I've avoided it. Statistically Berry has been better, but the health issue... yeah.

The Franchise 03-13-2018 09:22 AM

So:

Sammy Watkins
Tyreek Hill
Chris Conley
Demarcus Robinson
Jehu Chesson

Yup. Just like those GIFs showed.

Watkins was beating elite corners last year week to week. He’s a #1.

This.

No reason to waste space on 30+ year old vets but if we get a reasonable deal on a young body go for it. If that cap space is still there come the middle of preseason extend some people and front load those contracts...

Opening Game 2013 (first game of the Andy Reid-era): The Chiefs starting QB was Alex Smith, their top two WR's were Dwayne Bowe and Donnie Avery and their #1 TE was Anthony Fasano.

Opening Game 2018: The Chiefs starting QB will be Patrick Mahomes, their top two WR's will be Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins and their #1 TE will be Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs are finally built to compete in the modern era of NFL (passing oriented) football.
