"agent-take". They are all on the same page on what they want...so of course he's going to frame it like the Chiefs are boxed in. They are not.

Kennard is a good player. Fits Spags system. Chiefs need help at LB.

Lions have reportedly shown some interest in Jones possibly.

Anyone interested in taking Detroit's 2nd round pick (#3 in round) + a swap of 4th's and Kennard for Jones and KC's 4th rounder?

no. if you don’t get a 1st for Jones you don’t trade him.

That seems like a pretty bad trade for a guy in the last year of his contract that will be 29 years old in a couple months that the Lions were fixing to release.

Fair enough.

He would fill a need, though. Obviously, the Chiefs would have to work an extension with him at some point.

And you’d get almost the equivalent of a late 1st and 3rd with Detroit’s 2 & 4.

I just honestly don’t think the Chiefs are gonna get a deal done with Jones (numbers wise), so wondering if they should just take the best deal they can get at this point?

If the Lions release him, you can sign him without giving anything up. Additionally, because it was a release, he doesn't count against your free agent +/- and therefore won't cost you when it comes to comp picks.

Can I just take a second to say that considering how mad some of you were that the Chiefs lost Chris Ballard and promoted Veach that Ballard has NOT been that great at building anything in Indy.
