All their needs. You mean like a LB that could still be gotten in the 3rd in a player like Willie Gay or a few others or the IOL that could be had in the 4th or 5th round. The 5th can be used in several different depth places and we have the UDFA pool that we will likely sign a few from as well.

Their top priorities are RB and LB. CB should be one of their picks and I'm good with a Safety as well because there's not much of anything behind Sorensen, Mathieu and Thornhill, who is coming off an ACL tear, which occurred on December 30th.

But unlike previous years, the UDFA market will be very questionable, as teams weren't allowed their 30 visits, which rules out physicals as well.

These visits are normally very, very important because guys tend to slide down to the 6th and 7th or become UDFA's due to their medical history and this year, teams will be basically flying blind.

It might be a good exercise for you to go through our Super Bowl roster and see where each player was drafted. If they are all first rounders, you might have a rule. Otherwise, you’re going to have to argue that we, somehow, have a majority of “exceptions.”

With the exception of Suggs, not a single player on our Super Bowl defense was a 1st rounder.

This year? Hell, it might be the smartest move...

Yeah, that's a seriously false narrative to push.

"Most CB's" in the NFL are not 1st round selections.

CB is easily a bigger priority for them than RB.

I could see a scenario where they do not draft a RB. There is zero chance they do not draft a CB.

Definitely.

Also... I forgot about Darron Lee, but he was an inactive for the Super Bowl, so I guess technically he wasn't on the Super Bowl defense?

LMAO

Yeah, the Chiefs should stand pat at RB with an UDFA coming off of injury, a 6th rounder who showed absolutely nothing other than zero ball awareness, and a 28 year old that's never played in 16 games in a single season with 1,200 rushing yards in 6 years.

That sounds like an amazing plan!

That's not exactly what I said and I agree that the RB position is a weakness but definitly the CB position is a bigger priority.

Dude CB is definitely higher than RB and it is not even close. Kareem Hunt was a 3rd rounder. Alvin Kamara was a 3rd rounder. RB can be had mid to late in the draft. It is not a top priority as in they need to spend one of their top 3 rounds of picks in this draft. This class is not even that good compared to a lot of other years.

Wrong

There are many, many more CBs hitting big out of the middle rounds than RBs the last few years, if we're using "can be found later in the draft" as a reason to wait on a position.

JakeF 04-11-2020 07:36 PM

RDE(KPass only player left)
LB(Niemann)
LG(Wylie)
CB(depth)
RB(depth)

Still lots of positions left to improve

I would like to see that comparison.

Are people forgetting we have a gaping hole at LB?
