Well, and they've beaten exactly one team with a winning record, 5 wins against last place teams in each AFC division plus the 49ers... and have played 7 of the bottom 12 offenses in the league.

Great recipe for defensive success.

Doesn't necessarily mean they aren't good defensively, just that it's hard to tell with their unfortunately shitty schedule.

Maybe Hardman. Either or. Just feel like MIA is going to do their best to lock down Hill, Kelce and Watkins. And when teams get too focused on those guys, that's usually when DRob or Hardman have explosive games.

And I expect CEH to have himself a pretty good day as well. He could have 100 yds and a TD or even 2, if MIA's run defense is really as bad as advertised. Certainly their fan base isn't very confident in their ability to stop a good runner like CEH.

Apparently, the talking heads and some MIA fans are putting a lot of faith in their defense, since Flores was the DC in NE back in 2018, when the Pats beat the chiefs twice that season.

But iirc, the Chiefs scored 71 points on that defense in those two games, so I'm not sure what they're on about exactly.

Anyway, they seem to feel that their defense is good enough to not only keep Mahomes from playing well, but force him into multiple INTs.

In short, they're banking on multiple pick-6s to level the table.

Which is hilarious because Xavien Howard is alot like Marcus Peters, he takes a ton of chances to get picks. It works against bad QBs but against a dude like Mahomes it's how you get torched.

Not sure he could have been less confident in his pick. LMAO

Yeah, he picked Raiders over Chiefs too. He's wanting a "ME" moment.

It would be great if Howard turned out to have bad eyes. But I doubt MIA is going to ever put Howard out on an island with Hill. No one does that anymore. And the Bucs game is a prime example of why not. Plus, Flores has seen Hill up close and he won't make that dumb a mistake.

Would be nice though . . .

If Flores goes with the NE style gameplan, he doubles Hill at all times, puts his best cover corner on Watkins (Byron Jones), and mugs Kelce with variations of double coverage too. Everyone else one on one.

That’s where you need to be able to run the ball a little, and yeah, guys like Hardman and Robinson need to make some plays when their chances come. You give Hardman enough 1v1s and eventually he’s gonna run away from the guy trying to cover him, probably a few times. Just has to make the plays.

This is NOT a game I am worried about at all. Chiefs will move on to 12 -1 and we will ALL be sweating the Saints game in NOLA next week. That is the game that concerns me the most. Chiefs win 31 - 24 :thumb:

Miami might have a chance if Steve Bono was still our QB.

Check this out...

Kansas City Chiefs 27, Miami Dolphins 21
1 p.m. ET (CBS) | Hard Rock Stadium (Miami Gardens, Fla.)

Dolphins coach Brian Flores was part of a Patriots staff that slowed down Patrick Mahomes better than most. Miami's defense is built to change looks and disrupt Kansas City's timing enough to keep the Chiefs' red-zone and run-game struggles going. Look for the Dolphins to keep this game interesting, even if their offense is leaning a little too much on guys like Myles Gaskin, Jakeem Grant and Lynn Bowden.

That would put Chiefs beating the Saints in SLV! Now I simply ask you...Who Dat? :thumb:

Interesting.

It appears that the Washington loss completely shifted the model. I'm almost certain that her model has the Steelers in the SB last week.
