The Watson BS DPI penalty proves that. Unless you have a Jalen Ramsey or Patrick Surtain you shouldn’t pay those guys. Sneed brings a unique skillset. He can play anywhere really. Spags has used him outside, inside, on TE’s, on blitzes and even in the SS role. He’s a lot like Mathieu was here. He’s a Jack of all trades who does nearly everything well. If there’s a guy we pay big money too it’s probably him. |

I agree he's not Garrett or Parsons or Bosa (SF) but I'd put him right there behind those 3. |

He's closer to 2018 Frank Clark than 2022 Garrett, without question. Garrett, Bosa, etc... - the truly elite; those guys are potential 15 sack seasons waiting to happen. I don't think Burns is that guy. He's in a pile with a dozen other guys who are 9-12 sack players. Those have value, but they aren't worth a 1st round pick and a top of the market contract, IMO. |

No to Burns please and thank you. No to Moore as well. I'd rather have the draft picks and cap savings of having rookie contracts over huge 2nd year contracts. Moore has a $25 mil cap hit next year. Burns isn't worth a 1st round pick and then a Frank Clark contract.
Also, I think this off-season if he comes back and finishes the season like he started you have to offer Willie Gay Jr like $7 mil/yr extension. Just enough to entice him, because if he goes into next year without an extension and improves even more, then he's going to be too expensive. |
