There is no way Denver trades with us right there.

Pioli will probably draft a punter next

Haha expecting a bunch of safe or BPA picks now, Konz is probably the next pick if he's there.

Konz doesn't fit a zone blocking scheme at all.

Frankly, as long as Weedon is off the board, I'm not overly concerned that Pioli can **** it up too much.

I think Kenechi Osememle might be the pick if he's still there.

:spock: Hudson is our starting center.

Mecca 04-26-2012 08:28 PM

And another pass rusher for Houston.

the Talking Can 04-26-2012 08:28 PM

the rich get richer

Setsuna 04-26-2012 08:28 PM

ROFL. Yall ain't getting nobody on defense the rest of this draft.

ChiefsCountry 04-26-2012 08:28 PM

Mercilus replaces Mario Williams.

doomy3 04-26-2012 08:29 PM

Surprised the Texans took Mercilus. That is a good defense.

IMO, Konz is good enough to fit any scheme at C.

I don't see Pioli as a "play it safe" GM.

In fact I'm not that impressed at all with most of his draft picks...

Patriots only have two more picks in the draft, both in the second round.

ChiefMojo 04-26-2012 08:32 PM

Kirk Cousins will be the pick in the 2nd or 3rd.

the Talking Can 04-26-2012 08:33 PM

my enthusiasm for this draft has waned after poe...

I figured it to be Michael Brockers.

But I was almost certain I wasn't going to like our first round pick.

I'm saying thats how Pioli screws this up anymore...by selecting Cousins.

Mecca 04-26-2012 08:33 PM

Guys we aren't taking a QB, Quinn is like best friends with our OC and we aren't cutting Stanzi.

That's not a horrible pick, Bengals actually making solid selections instead of picking morons.

the Talking Can 04-26-2012 08:34 PM

a run on guards in the first

i feel better now

BryanBusby 04-26-2012 08:35 PM

not great value but good selection from the Bengals

Memphis D-line coach Mike DuBose (former Bama HC) on Dontari Poe: "Potentially the best player that I’ve had the opportunity to coach."

Just wanted everyone to see this. DuBose was with Alabama for 13 years. If true, it gives us some hope.

I firmly believe that Pioli is going to avoid any possible QB controversy, which eliminates any QB taken before the 4th round.

I can see a BJ Coleman in the later rounds.

The Franchise 04-26-2012 08:35 PM

I wonder if the Packers go with Harrison Smith.

I don't know anything about Osweiler but Weeden is a ****ing gamer and would be our best QB day one. I guarantee Weeden is a better pick at 22 than Tannehill at 8.

KurtCobain 04-26-2012 08:36 PM

I bet Weeden wins a playoff game in his first three seasons.

Weren't some saying Dorsey was the best DT prospect to come out in like 10 years? My faith in the Chiefs' ability to cultivate that kind of talent is not at an all time high.

Then he said this: I think he’s just learning to play this game," DuBose said, adding that in 3, 4 yrs, Poe will be "dynamic player." So, there's that.

Does this D have 3-4 years?

Poor comparison considering he played DT 1 year.

I've felt all along that the Chiefs first round was going to be.......uninspiring, but that we would see some really solid selections in the 2nd through 5th.

Just my hunch.

There's a bit of a difference between having Crennel for a coach as opposed to idiots like Goonther and Slappy Krumrie.

Point being he was considered the best "DT" prospect to come out in 10 years. Moving him to 5 tech squandered premium talent.
