So The Cats have built a 6 point lead about midway through the 2nd half on the road at OU.
This is shaping up to be a fabulous collapse. |
WOW EMAWS going to OT

Foster has skill.

Foster is clutch.

Wheeew, good win for the cats

What a coaching clinic!
|
No really complaining but, that was one of the luckiest wins I've ever seen.
The last three minutes of regulation was a joke. |
Weber was lucky he had Foster.

I went to the game last night with a friend of mine. Great time. Cats looked really good last night, especially Hurt. If we want to keep having a chance in these games, someone other than MF is going to have to step up. Hurt played extremely well, as did Edwards. No complaints. Great win.

Well done ksu, helped the Hawks and bought more time for your joke of a coach. Have to say though, his whiny, jealous, chip-on-his shoulder persona does present an accurate portrayal of most grape fans I know. Congrats on the match and hope it lasts a lifetime!!

We aren't going to make the NCAA. But we will make the Bruce Weber "play hard chart". We won the play hard chart and that all you really need. The scoreboard? Psssshaw. |

Down 14 at one point the Brucecats have forged a 1 point lead with 3:03 to go. Just enough to collapse.

Up 3 with possession. 16 seconds to play.

Turn it up too eleven Nigel.

Cherry drives and gets an and 1. This is Bruceketball

Bruce 4-1 in big 12. Extension time?

4-1. I'll take it |
I don't know how they ****ed up the switch at midcourt that set Cherry free.
I thought for sure he was going to launch a three. He had a great look. |

If you'd have told me two weeks ago this team would be tied for the confy lead at 4-1, I'd have said you're insane.

We are in DESPERATE NEED of a quality PG. JT is a train-wreck trying to get us into our offense. God bless that kid, but holy hell is he awful. Would have loved to have pulled the upset in Ames, but I can't fault that effort.
Big game this weekend in MAN against Cowboys. We have to exact our revenge for that B12 opening beat-down. |

T-Lock roasting Nick Marshall LMAO - I got to cut Nick some slack. He probably hasn't played DB in years.

Qatz up 10 at the half. They have controlled the game up to this point.
|
Gotta finish & get this W. Schedule is ****ing ridiculous from here on out.
I had given up on this team after the 3-game losing streak and still don't like Weber but at least we look competent. I don't know enough about basketball to know what the issues have been (other than PG, apparently), but I do know we look better now than we did a month ago. Quote:
And I'm glad someone from K-State finally got one on Auburn... Do we have anyone else in the Senior Bowl? Lockett's the only one I've heard. |
Need to keep getting the ball to Nino and work the ball into the paint for GIP. Settling for 3's is a great recipe for letting OSU back in this game
|
Nino is shredding Nash
|
Nino put slave chains on Nash today. Owned him. With deed.
|
5-2 in conference. I would have bet that we would have been no better than 2-5 before the Conf started. Have to admit, this has been quite the turnaround for a team that was pronounced dead prior to the start of Conf play. I still think they finish right around .500.

BOOOOM! Goes the dynamite!
Huge commit for State.
DARREYL PATTERSON - 3 Star CB from Lawton, OK. Offers from OU, Wazu, ASU |

Kstate doing their best booclone impression tonight.

What a cripple fight this is.....
|
Funny they're blaming fatigue for Jevon's missed FT's. Uh, guys, have you watched his mechanics? I can't believe he's at 57%. Feels like closer to 40%.
|
KSU can barely inbound the ball.... Refs are feeling sorry for them and not counting the 5 seconds anymore...
|
This is a Huggins special. Just a complete street fight and the officials can't call every foul or the game would end on a different calendar day.

Bruce Leper.
8 consecutive years of post season bball: Gone. 7 consecutive years of finishing top 4 in conference: Gone. 7 consecutive years of being in NCAA tourney: Gone. I wish I could cut his ****ing vocal chords completely like the Basenji dog he is. |

Bruce Weber, program killer lol.
KSU basketball may be worse than KU football next year. |
Thanks John Currie, with the Weber hiring you've injected a NAIA-level team into the Big XXI in Manhattan. What a colossal dumpster fire. if it wasn't so bad for the conference it would only be laughable.
|
Is anyone here actually surprised? Because I sure as hell am not.
|
Quote:
Also, funny to hear you bitch about this when your football team (the important sport, mind you) is on the receiving end of Peter North ropes year-in and year-out. That said, yeah, Bruce needs to get the **** out of Manhattan. |

KSU enters NAIA status next year, now that Weber's predecessor's players are all gone - just like he did it at Illinois. Just mind boggling how everyone but Currie knew what a little-dick guy Weber was before he was hired, and the guy evidently still has his job. Unreal. |

So...
Listening to Stanbot on 810 today, the most bitter pill is how Stanbot said "None of this is on Bruce Weber". As though Bruce Weber is Teflon coated. When asked about next year's expectations, Stanbot said "I expect KSU to be better than TTU. I expect KSU to be better than TCU next year". And to hope another team stubs it's toe and maybe.... Maybe KSU can sneak into 6th place. High expectations indeed. So... The team that failed to score 20 points in a half 5 times and failed to score 50 in a game 6 times has now lost 47 of its 63 point scoring average from last season with graduation and Foster getting bounced. #burnit****ingdown |
Also,
5 years ago today I was in a Surprise AZ watching the KSU/XU 2OT sweet 16 game. And today all that is gone. |

The majority of K-Staters in my feed are applauding the move. For some reason I think this might have to do with the whole winning against KU thing you guys did this year.

KSU plays basketball?
Yeah right. Before I know it you guys will try to tell me that KU plays football. |

He's a decidedly average coach with the uncanny ability to under recruit and brings a very mid major atmosphere with him. On top of that, he said after the loss to TCU ( the second loss to TCU this season by double digits) that he may have ... and I quote ...."over scheduled". No Bruce, you underpformed. So, while Stan and the Hicks of the fanbase have a Jim Jones koolaide-esque belief that this was all on the players, their rude awakening is coming. Next season when the excuses start flowing after unacceptable losses. I refuse to blame the season on two players who were suspended for failing a drug test. Or for attitude. San also mentioned that the players didn't want to do it "The K-State way". Whatever that is supposed to mean. I suppose it means "losing" a lot of losing and doing it with players like Brian Rohleder who could start for Washburn. Maybe. **** them all. |

The bigger mistake than hiring Bruce in the first place (which was a massive mistake) was extending his ****ing contract & giving him a raise after 2 years. |
