It's the reason why Carr has sucked against us. We always confuse him. |
Smith actually trusts Hill with the deep ball. Great sign. Also Harris hasn't dropped a pass yet this camp. He wants to make the team
Terez A. Paylor @TerezPaylor Demetrius Harris is quietly having a great camp. Haven't seen him drop a pass. It's like he turned off the "drops open passes" Madden trait. 8:19 AM · Aug 4, 2017 |
Seantavious Jones will make the team. When you're making plays against Peters you are doing something right

The Chiefs trading Alex Smith in training camp this year might be the greatest thing I'd ever seen.

This was definitely fun and worth the trip going do this every year.
Afraid it's going rain tomorrow and go indoors. So I may just go to KC for some BBQ and then probably go home. |

Charc West being in the tent injured does not bode well for him. Spiller is having a great camp

Montori Hughes got cut today, our D line is doomed.

I'd nickname Tyreek The Flash. He will make Super Hero plays.

No shit? Who is going to be pissed if they keep Smith for another year if KC wins the SB? Capt Obvious. |

Speaking of hypothetical situations I don't think the Chiefs trading Smith right now is good short-term for Mahmoes or KC. I would love that 1st round pick back right away but I think making Mahomes earn it is the right thing for the franchise and for him. Less pressure if he earns it vs. being handed it. Now in a hypothetical world I think there certainly is a point where I trade Smith right now, but I don't think it's realistic that we would get an offer that good. A 1st wouldn't do it in my mind. Now next year that would certainly be enough. Dane pointed out that we could have an even better market for Smith next year. A little food for thought for the guys that want Smith to fail. It's best for the franchise that Smith stays as is. Gives the roster a chance to play in important games this year while keeping his trade value up. If the FO is as smart as we think and Mahomes progresses, we shouldn't need to see a Smith failure to make a change in 2018. |
So is there actually talk of us trading Smith for a 1st rounder or is that just cooler talk?

Looks like it may be Cutler to the Dolphins
Armando Salguero @ArmandoSalguero New. Miami Dolphins have already reached out to Jay Cutler |

This obsession over Mahomes is ridiculous. Yes he has potential but wait till he plays a game first before people say he's better than Len Dawson. Right now he is the #3 QB. Smith is by far the best QB on the roster and honestly it's not even close. People need to calm down

If Mahomes looks awesome in preseason and the Dolphins offer a first, you take it. We aren't winning a SB with Alex and the 1st would be more valuable.

No obvious errors for Patrick Mahomes II in latest Chiefs practice
2:00 PM CT Adam Teicher ESPN Staff Writer ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes II bounced back Friday. A day after throwing an interception in his first competitive practice, Mahomes had no such obvious errors as he completed 10 of 14 passes in full team drills and 8 of 11 in 7-on-7 drills. Wow moment: Mahomes didn’t have one, though he did fire a touchdown pass to tight end Gavin Escobar. He also was less inclined to force the ball into coverage, as he had been doing at times earlier in camp. Whoa moment: Mahomes again underestimated the playmaking ability of linebacker Reshard Cliett. Cliett covered a lot of ground to break up a pass during a 7-on-7 drill. Cliett did the same thing against Mahomes in offseason practice and that play resulted in an interception. |

It's not an actual thing. Furthermore, Gase and Smith don't seem like a good match. |

Now please excuse me. I don't want to rush Mahomes, but the thought of trading Smith has given me wood. |

Mahomes will grow to be a bad ass.

Smith is a bad fit for Gase's offense.
Osweiler to Miami makes much more sense than Alex Smith. |

I now understand what the 1 for 13 on third down side of the arguement was saying. It is who Alex is. |
Sounds like a Flynn/Wilson situation coming up.
