Yes. I'm never confident once KU reaches the elite 8. After that it's all icing. What a guy can do in an empty gym... as a freshman... means exactly nothing when it comes to the big stage.

KU had lost 4 games at this time last year (including one to Davidson). I also don't think there is any super team like UK this year, although Florida might prove me wrong (going to take more than blowing out shitty teams in the SEC to do that, though).

He's putting in the work. He's not your ordinary freshman. He wants to be the best. He's arguably THE best player in the nation. He just needs to be more aggressive.

If you get to the elite 8, each of the games is pretty much 50/50 at this point anyway. That's exactly when I stop worrying and just enjoy the moment (well unless they play a team like VCU...they should have beaten VCU, damn that Shaka Smart).

Holy ****. Weren't they top 10 at one point? They're barely above .500? In the S-E-Mother****ing-C? Kentucky isn't even good this year. I know they got pisspounded by Florida, which is understandable, but my ****, LSU and Ol Miss? And their best win is Illinois? God damn.

I think Jeff Withey might be the most impactful player in the nation. He should win the equivalent of basketball's Heisman (whatever that's called...the Wooden award, I think), but he never will. Not hyped enough.

McLemore might be the nation's best prospect. I haven't quite decided who is better between him, Muhammed, and Noel and who should be the #1 pick, but that's because they all seem to be getting better all the time.

That's all well and good. I'm going to keep my expectations at a minimum and enjoy whatever ride we take come tourney time. It's still college bb. It's still kids playing. Teams from nowhere get hot... good teams lose. I don't care how the rest of cbb is playing I only care about KU. Play great or get beat by someone else who does when it really counts.

I would love to pound them in the tournament for old times sake.

I guess the thing I am looking forward more so than anything else in regards to the tournament this year is the simple fact there are no clear cut favorites.

Yeah, MU isn't good. They don't play any defense and their offense isn't anywhere what it was last season. I had hopes they could go into UK and get a win, but there's no chance of that shit happening. They need to just worry about holding serve at home and getting in the tournament.

That's the truth. It's a free for all this year. Gonna be fun.

Don't misunderstand me. I like our chances too. I watch the few games I get to see and make the few judgements I can make. I just know we can play a lot better than we have and I really want us to do that... to reach our potential. A KU title means more to me than just about anything. You should have seen me the 2 times we've won it all in my lifetime. No one is happier than me. I want it so bad I probably obsess too much about our shortcomings once it comes tourney time. During the regular season I forgive and hope... but this year just feels different. This team feels like it can be really special if they clean it up. Just clean it up for the love of GOD!
