Has anyone done the 300 workout?

A bunch of us at my gym have started working out "together" again. We have a test week, work out on our own or with others for 5 weeks, and test again. Then we start the next phase. The test week involves qtr mile sprints for time, 5 rep maxes on deadlift, cleans, & bench, # of strict pull ups in 1 set, & running a 5K for time. We did this last year & it was a lot of fun.

Anyway, we added the 300 to our test. I've only done it a couple of times and it really kicked my ass yesterday. I guess I have some work to do. So, have any of you done it or do any of you want to give it a shot?

It's not a crossfit gym. The guy who designed the program is not a big fan of crossfit, either.

I was just giving you crap.

The crazes that follow these new workouts things like the 300 programs want to make me put a bullet through my head at times, but hey whatever gets someone off the couch is better than nothing I suppose.

I think there is a "program" called 300 but I don't know anything about it. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm just talking about the workout. People at my gym have been doing it for years. There's no need to shoot yourself in the head. As far as I know, there's nothing "trendy" about it.

For Time:

Pullups - 25 reps
Barbell Deadlift with 135 lbs. - 50 reps
Pushups - 50 reps
24-inch Box Jumps - 50 reps
Floor Wipers - 50 reps
Single-Arm Clean-and-Press with 36 lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps
Pullups - 25 reps

That's a shit ton of water. You might consider adding some electrolytes. I've used this stuff in the past.

I guess I can try some of that. Thanks.

So I've been really kicking it in the ass lately by putting everything into every workout like most guys do when it comes to chest and biceps since I'm shooting to enter a physique comp in 14 weeks(this would be first at age 35). My wife snapped this shot at OOF this past weekend and I think hammering it hard on the back and traps lately has been paying off. I start cut down 8/2 and can't wait to strip this fat off.

Awaiting updates from the resident trolls.

Down 15 lbs already in 12 days, I'm sure 95% of it is water. First carb window coming up this sautrday, which happens to be my 4 year anniversary. Planned a nice dinner at a italian join then a quick stop at coldstone creamery. I could definitely tell when my body adapted to ketosis. First 5 days was rough, then I just woke up and felt super energized. Strength holding steady so far, havent tried to push maxes yet.

Diet has been pretty keto basic, pretty much every day looks the same.

breakfast: 5 eggs, 4 slices thick bacon. coffee with coconut oil & a little heavy cream
lunch: 1/2 rotiesserie chicken, steamed brocc w/cheese, almonds, fish oil
dinner: (pre workout): 1lb 90% ground beef, brocc w/cheddar, fish oil
dinner: other half of chicken, more brocc & cheddar, more fish oil

very rudimentary but I like it. Cant wait for first carb night.

Yeah they are very similar. UD seems much more structured, and is hard to mess up if you follow what lyle tells you. I may transition into this and give my joints a break. The only reason I went with CNS is so that I can continue training on 5/3/1. I have some limited experience in past with CKD (ran anabolic diet for along time), and one thing i learned is to keep the fats low on carb refeeds. CNS kind of encourages you to eat pizza and shit, but I plan on sticking to cereal mostly, maybe some pasta or rice. Also going to start the day with a normal pro/good fat meal and prob next meal lower the fat a bit, maybe pro/veggie only, then start the load since its only 3 meals - 6 hour window. Not the weekend like a lot of other programs have you do.

I spent most of yesterday writing down the cereals I havent had since I was a kid. Thinking I'll go with Fruity Pebbles lol!

What's CNS?

Any thoughts on this. These guys are usually very innovative in the field of supplements. Obviously there won't be much on clinical studies, but it's a new approach to fat loss that I haven't seen used.

I haven't seen any credible studies that can turn white fat brown, and the amount of brown fat we do have is too small to have any significant effect. That's not to say this product doesn't work, but I'm highly skeptical. Need more info.

Yeah, in the supplement world it's all about being the first to the market with the new idea. No time or money for human clinical trials. I was told it take 3 months to see increased thermogensis from beige fat.

Tried cardio after lifting. Not as good results. Bad Planet.
