Yeah, true.

Although we'd probably just draft him.

And do what with him?

Trade Hali?...Let Houston walk?

**** that noise....I don't care how good of a prospect he is, I'm not benching a pro bowl pass rusher to ake room for a hopeful one.

Me either.

But we are talking about the Chiefs here.

I'd take him. Sorry, you know I'm a big QB guy, but I couldn't pass up that guy.

It goes back to the big picture thing...I'd take a QB that's a 89 out of 100 before I'd take another position player that's grades out as a 96.

O.city 02-18-2013 05:28 PM

Well, thing with that is that Clowney is probably a 99.

If he's there, I'll take him and take my chances with Wilson or Barkley.

More likely to be taking your chances with Nassib or Manuel.

With teams having Wilson as a third round prospect, I don't think that he goes that early.

We'll see. I still think he's a top 15 pick. Teams are going to love (and already love to some extent) his intangibles.

I think some teams will drop him because of his hands. It only takes 1 team who doesn't.

Yeah, true. But thats a risk I'm willing to take for Clowney.

BossChief 02-18-2013 05:57 PM

I'm sticking to my guns and have all along.

Geno
Wilson
Barkley
Glennon

And one more QB all go in the first.

5 total.

I shared this with a couple people already and don't see the harm in making it public...

The Steelers might take a QB in the first if the right one is there. It was a bit of a secret, but someone already spilled the beans to a media person and when the team was asked about it, they didn't deny it a couple weeks ago.

@Jacobs71

NFL Network is doing a behind the scenes look of Matt Barkley, Geno Smith, Marcus Lattimore & Barkevious Mingo on their draft journey.

@Jacobs71
The feature stories will air during the NFL Scouting Combine & leading up to the 2013 NFL Draft in April.

So many idiots...

The Chiefs should take the best player on their board. Doubtful that's Geno Smith

He will probably be a late first round steal.

His team lost a lot more than they should
He gave some questionable interviews that will bring up character concerns
His hands are smaller than my kids'.

I'd still have no problem drafting him high, but there is significant risk in him.
