Id like to see them be able to keep March in on those downs. I think he can run and cover

He looks faster than Cam Chancellor

He is our fastest LB. I agree though, I'd rather have March there.

Alexander looks better in coverage, so if he's gonna sub for March anyway, why not give Alexander a look?

But to me, the bottom line is that the Chiefs and Dorsey messed up because that $4 million could have been used elsewhere in order to bolster the roster.

Again, unless they're preparing to announce an extension with Poe, in which they give that $4 million or so to him, making his salary $10 million this season instead of $6 million, while making 2017's number substantially smaller.

You can bolster the roster after cut downs. If the Chiefs were to virtually enter the season with no cap room, you likely hinder your ability to fill remaining needs through adding depth players who are camp casualties because of other teams' cap or injury situations. Creating some wiggle room is wise now because the odd veteran addition to round out a roster that is built to win-now can be had.

Do you blame him?

If I were on the roster bubble but probably on the outside looking in, I'd take my chances on not getting caught.

at least it wasn't a starter

I would be absolutely shocked if the Chiefs claimed anyone on waivers this year. Their roster is as deep as I've ever seen it and whomever they claimed would be coming in way behind the curve.

DaneMcCloud 08-17-2016 02:17 PM

Wow, Sterup looked really good Saturday as well. I didn't think he'd initially make the roster but now it's almost a guarantee that he'll be a PS guy. They can't carry a 2nd string offensive lineman that's unavailable for the first 4 games.

What a dumbass.

At least we know we can get him on the PS now.

Like DJ said though, can you blame the guy? I'd be doing the same shit if I were on the bubble. Lol

I hadn't really thought about him in that role. Would be better when teams try and run on that package for sure.

I can't argue with that. It's worth a look.

Nope. I'd probably do the same.
